🟦🟨 GUEST RESEARCHER PROFILE- MR. IFEANYI NGWOKE. Mr. Ifeanyi Ngwoke is a public health researcher and infectious disease specialist from Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, a Master of Science in Infection Prevention and Control, and is completing a Postgraduate Diploma in One Health at the University of Edinburgh as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. He currently works as Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Officer at YouthRISE Nigeria, where he manages evidence systems for HIV and harm reduction programmes. His research spans HIV prevention, emerging infectious diseases, and One Health in Africa, with nine peer-reviewed publications to his name. The paper being discussed today, "Barriers and Facilitators of Oral PrEP Uptake Against HIV Among Selected Priority Populations: A Global Perspective" is his first first-author publication, released in Current HIV/AIDS Reports in 2026. It synthesises evidence from across the globe on why certain populations struggle to access and stay on oral PrEP, and what needs to change.
