Each episode will delve into real-world cases and community issues that shape the lives of older adults and their families—told through the voices of those on the front lines. Listeners will hear from attorneys, law enforcement, case workers, and occasionally clients themselves, as they discuss how the legal system can both protect and empower vulnerable seniors. The podcast examines not only how abuse occurs, but how collaboration, advocacy, and persistence can restore dignity and safety. From navigating capacity issues to understanding systemic barriers in long-term care, each conversation illuminates the challenges—and the hope—within this critical area of public service. The Conversation also opens a broader dialogue about what it means to age in today’s world. Episodes will explore leadership and innovation within the nonprofit sector, featuring executive directors and advocates tackling issues like implementation of technology to improve access, and funding challenges. With honesty, empathy, and expertise, Elder Law & Advocacy: The Conversation aims to educate, inspire, and connect those who care about protecting our elders and strengthening the systems that serve them.
