Humility, gratitude and courage, including confronting the uncomfortable are all part of the process of uprooting and moving far away from home. I want to surrender fully but its hard...

Ep.8 From Survival to Surrender: How to let go and trust God

Today’s Episode Outline Today’s episode is all on the subject of surrender, which is an art that we’re not naturally inclined to do. How the pandemic shifted people’s focus, slowing them down from survival, to seeing the importance of stilling and mindfulness practices. I will be sharing how God often uses moments of stillness to encourage surrender. Jesus himself was led into spaces of stillness, to commune with his Father without the distractions and there is so much we can learn from this simple act of surrendering to the stillness. I will be giving you simple ways of how you can surrender to God in the everyday, even with the smallest things. Also, just a funny blooper for you all, I realized post-editing that I mention Jesus spent 10 days and 10 nights in the desert, when in fact it was 40 days and 40 nights lol. There is no doubting that change is scary as we go through seasons of life, but it can also shape and enrich our lives in the most unexpected ways, if we allow God in. Today’s Episode Outline In this episode we talk about the importance of dreams and allowing God to grant those deep longings and desires in our hearts. Dreams are not necessarily these big transcendental and ground-breaking desires, they can simply be these soft whisperings of something more. In today’s world of realism and often pessimistic perspectives on what is deemed possible, we can approach God boldly with our dreams and He will reveal the path for us.
