Episode 71 Sharon Hawkins Speaking at Spring Mother Son Banquet at Fair Play Camp School

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2381313/fan_mail/new] Today's episode includes a recording from Sharon's talk at the Annual Mother Son Banquet at Fair Play Camp School in Westminster, SC in Spring of 2026. Sharon was invited to encourage the moms and sons on this special night when the camp honors the mothers of the boys who attend Fair Play Camp School.  Fair Play Camp School is a 501c3 non-profit program that helps boys ages 8 to 15 who are experiencing behavior and/or emotional problems and who agree to placement because they have a desire to change their lives. their main objective is to teach boys life skilss by helping a boy change his behavior through internal controls and character development.  For more information and to donate to this worthwhile ministry, please visit fairplaycamp.org. Sharon's son Bradley attended Fair Play Camp School from ages 13-15, and it was a tremendous help for him and his family.  Sharon shares her experiences as the mom of a boy with struggles who benefitted from the camp.  She has a unique perspective in looking back as her son passed at 21 four and a half years ago. She shares her regrets and joys from that time, giving insight that gratitude can help both a mom and a son when they are going through the separation and learning experiences that camp brings. We pray that this episode is an encouragement to those families who go through struggles similar to these.   Never forget that no matter what we face, we can always seek the Lord for help and His grace may be found in every wilderness situation.  Please like and subscribe to help more people find our podcast, to support the growth of the ministry and so you don't miss a single episode. 2 Episode 68 The Truth of Christmas

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2381313/fan_mail/new] During this busy season, Finding Grace In The Wilderness' last episode of 2025 pauses and reflects on the truth of Christmas. The truth is that Christmas is all about love. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Whosoever is each one of us. Jesus came to this world for each one of us.  In this episode, Sharon discusses how our enemy tries every way possible to keep us from accepting Jesus and experiencing the closeness that God intended for us to have with Him. The enemy asks the question, "Did God really say that?" in an effort to get us to doubt God and His great love for us. We have to know the voice of our Master, know His character, and know who asked the question to avoid this trap.  Thank you for taking time out of the hustle bustle to listen to this episode and ponder on the truth of Christmas. Please follow to receive notifications of future episodes. Thank you for sharing with your friends. That is how our ministry grows.  May your holidays this year be especially blessed with God's peace, joy, and His never-ending amazing grace! 2 Episode 69 Coping At Christmas When You Have Lost A Child

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2381313/fan_mail/new] This episode will include a special recording from the recent 2025 Grace In The Wilderness' Joshua's Hope Christmas Brunch for Bereaved Moms. Sharon shares how God has helped her cope through the Christmases since her son, Bradley, passed away four years ago. God is the friend that sticks closer than a brother and He is a great Helper and Comforter of the brokenhearted. Sharon shares about how He has spoken personally to her and help to carry her through the difficult days of Christmas by focusing on the tree. Jesus died on the tree for us. The evergreen symbolizes eternal life which is only made possible by the greatest gift ever given to us. For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16. That precious gift is what Christmas is all about.  Because of God's great gift, if we accept Jesus as our personal Savior, we can be reunited with our loved ones who have gone on before us to Heaven if they also have accepted Christ. This is a blessed hope that gets Sharon by every day until that day she will be reunited with her son and be in the presence of Jesus and God to live forever in Heaven. We pray it is a great comfort for you as well. If you don't know Jesus as your Savior but would like to, please reach out to Sharon at sharonhawkins.net/contact and send her a message. She would love to contact you and share with you about how to come to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.  Join Sharon for the reading of the Christmas Story and a beautiful liturgy for Missing Someone this Christmas.  Please subscribe and like so you don't miss an episode of the podcast in the new year. Also, please share this episode with someone who may be missing a loved one who is seeking the hope that can only be found through the precious Christ Child born this blessed Christmas morning. We wish you and your family a joyous Christmas! May God always meet you right where you are, even if that is in your brokenness. May He come alongside you and heal your broken heart, and walk hand in hand with you no matter what lies ahead, and may He always provide His abundant, never-ending faithfulness and grace in your wilderness!
