Both halves of MASTICATE arrive at the King property to find Vicki alive, her daughters older than they should be, and the walls between worlds already thin. Vicki can lead the team to PICKY EATER's origins, but in her world, her deepest fears are reality. The Reapers are out hunting and won't stop until they claim their prize. The line between worlds gets less clear with every PICKY EATER. It won't hold.

MASTICATE is down an agent and moving south with a replacement no one fully trusts yet. The lead is Vicki King — former IT worker and single mother, vanished from her job and her house in early 2018, a name that surfaced from Cordell Wallace's kitchen drawer. On paper, she's a ghost.
