Synopsis: As we conclude looking at the list of the desires of our sinful nature, we are confronted with the warnings against drunkenness and the problems that can follow the decision to partake of too much alcohol. We are also given the hope to overcome the power of alcohol through the greater power of the Holy Spirit. The Danger of Forgetting God

Series: Galatians 5Main Scripture: Hosea 13:1–14 & Galatians 5Synopsis: This message looked at the danger of forgetting God and how comfort can lead us into pride, self-reliance, and spiritual drift. Hosea 13 shows how Israel forgot the God who rescued and provided for them, while Galatians 5 reminds us that the flesh is not neutral and that we are called to walk by the Spirit. Synopsis: Hostility, quarreling, jealousy, and outbursts of anger are all evidence of our sinful nature at work within us. While extreme expressions are easy to condemn, the subtle forms are often easy to excuse or justify, which is why every believer must honestly acknowledge these struggles and surrender them to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
