Synopsis: Hostility, quarreling, jealousy, and outbursts of anger are all evidence of our sinful nature at work within us. While extreme expressions are easy to condemn, the subtle forms are often easy to excuse or justify, which is why every believer must honestly acknowledge these struggles and surrender them to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Synopsis: It is easy to view idolatry and sorcery as problems of the past or sins found only in other cultures, yet both still flow from the desires of our sinful nature today. Idolatry worships a god that cannot save and sorcery seeks power that God never gave.
