Dawn Dancing Otter is a Mother, Community Grief Weaver, Rites of Passage and Plant Medicine Ceremonialist, Somatic Coach, Doctoral Scholar, Social Scientist, Researcher, Ritual Theatre Facilitator, Dancer, and Artist. She has been facilitating individual and group healing and educational work for 30 years.
Dawn's work in the relational context is matrifocal, a decolonial and de-centering of culturally unbalanced, usury power dynamics that we have all been indoctrinated to perform. Years ago, she came to realize that focusing on facilitating healing for humans and their relationships one trauma at a time did not change anything about the system that was, and is, promoting the traumas humans have endured.
Dawn's matrifocal decolonial teaching container - The Weavework School, coaches people to embark on their journey to intimacy, deeper connection, and belonging by immersing in ancestral ways of knowing - The Living Lands, music, language, dance, art, weavework, food, traditions, sacred plants, and gathering in nature.
