Descripción

The discussion centers on the role of Zone 2 training in CrossFit, highlighting the debate about whether low-intensity cardio is necessary for improving performance. While Zone 2 helps build an aerobic base and aids recovery, critics argue it’s less effective for the high-intensity, fast-twitch muscle demands of CrossFit. Athletes with less cardio experience may benefit from Zone 2, but others with strong aerobic foundations should focus more on explosive strength training. Additional topics include the importance of addressing weaknesses, balancing cardio with strength, weight loss benefits of Zone 2, and common awkward moments experienced by new CrossFitters.

They also explore concepts of nutritional periodization, the role of protein in weight loss and muscle retention, and how athletes need to balance their diets according to their training cycles. There is also a discussion about Reddit criticisms of CBG and how misunderstandings on social media can affect public perception. Toward the end, Justin encourages people to focus on balanced nutrition and offers information about his nutrition coaching services. The conversation is a mix of personal anecdotes, professional opinions on nutrition and fitness, and differing views on the impact of sugar in diets.

HillerCast 0023 : Program Review w/ Travis (VNDK8) and Natalie

https://andrewhiller.wodify.com/OnlineSalesPortal/Home.aspx Link to my online program Remember Reddit.  You wanted this. I just made a video on reddit letting all of them know that if it were not for them, there would not be this.  That is true.  For as long as I have been doing this I have not wanted to talk about my program. I did not want people to think that I was doing this to make a quick buck.  Programming and my workouts are however something that I am very proud of. I have been doing it for ten +years  and I really enjoy it.  I will be joined by Travis Bellinghausen who has been remotely doing the program for 2 months and Natalie Heading who has been working with me for about 7 years.  I hope that you can get a great persepective of everything from the two of them.
