Pilot - Ep 000 [The JaED:ED Podcast]

Fatherhood is more than just being a provider. Maybe if I didn't care, it'd be easier. There isn't any time for that, though. So when WILL there be time? When is the best time? Morning? Afternoon? Eve… “This is no time to argue about time! We don't have the time!” *sigh* Okay, fine. === Do you ever find yourself thinking… I probably should never have kids. or Should I ever traveled outside of the comforts of my own country and move to another country? or Who the hell has time to watch TV shows? No? My name is JD and this is The JaED:ED Podcast. An experimental show about just another expatriate (expat) dad’s journey and experiences living in Japan. A show about: Fatherhood. Manhood. My failures as a perfectionist. and findings as a foreigner living on foreign land. Discovering where “Home” really is. You could say it's a kind of storytelling podcast. One thing I can guarantee that you can expect: Imperfection. This script is imperfect. The delivery of this episode… imperfect. Even the timing of when this pilot was supposed to air. Not perfect. And to that I say… “Eh.” The truth is I'm tired. Tired of waiting for the perfect time. Nothing's perfect… And I'm perfectly fine with that. This is a progressive project and I have an idea exactly where I want to take it. But for now, I'll just start here. Making it a little bit better every episode moving forward. It is my hope that your life reflects some part of these stories. Finding something in my own mess. Maybe even discover your own answers. Who knows… “Wow, that's a riveting story.” Oh, and hey, by the way, I am currently working on episodes 001, 002, and 003. So be expecting Episode 001, Titled, “Sleep? What's that?” …by Friday, the 27th of September. It'll be about how I deal with my growing children. Play the balancing act of good versus mad dad. And why you probably shouldn't have kids. At this moment I’ve decided to have this show air, I want to say, every two weeks. Originally wanted to make it a weekly thing, but I do care a little bit about production, and the quality of the episodes. So I'd like to give it more thought and effort.
