episode Jesus Turns An Interruption Into A Miracle artwork

Jesus Turns An Interruption Into A Miracle

We talk through Mark 6 and watch Jesus meet exhausted disciples with an invitation to rest while also meeting an unexpected crowd with compassion. The feeding of the 5,000 becomes a mirror for our schedules, our scarcity mindset, and our trust in Christ’s sufficiency.  • disciples returning exhausted from ministry and Jesus naming human limits  • redefining rest as refilling in Jesus rather than escaping from Jesus  • why busy culture and fear of saying no block healthy rhythms  • crowds who run to be where Jesus is and what that reveals about desire  • interruptions exposing priorities and love for people  • Jesus’ compassion for sheep without a shepherd  • scarcity mindset and focusing on what we lack instead of God’s power  • small acts of obedience that God multiplies  • order and intentionality before the miracle  • satisfaction and leftovers as a picture of Christ’s sufficiency  • practical takeaways on rest, compassion, and trust

episode Proximity To Jesus Does Not Guarantee Faith artwork

Proximity To Jesus Does Not Guarantee Faith

We talk through Mark 6 and the shock of Jesus being rejected in His hometown, even while He teaches with authority. We name how comfort, familiarity, and people pleasing can dull faith, then we learn how to stay dependent on God and keep moving when rejection hits.  • Jesus rejected in Nazareth and the danger of hometown blinders  • proximity to Jesus not guaranteeing faith in Jesus  • comfort limiting awareness and creating spiritual autopilot  • praying for spiritual eyes and asking God to stretch us  • gratitude when God moves and resisting complacency  • unbelief as neglect and not turning to God daily  • Jesus moving on to receptive places and staying on mission  • the twelve sent two by two with authority  • traveling light as a discipline of dependence on God  • leadership development through teaching, modeling, and coaching  • handling rejection, insecurity, and the pull of people pleasing  • staying faithful amid preferences in worship and church life  • three takeaways: familiarity dulling faith, deeper trust, willingness to be sent

episode Desperate Faith artwork

Desperate Faith

A dad is racing the clock to save his daughter, and a woman who has suffered for twelve years is trying to disappear into a crowd. Mark 5 puts those two stories on the same road, and the tension is the point: faith gets tested when Jesus seems “interrupted,” when timing feels delayed, and when the outcome starts to look final. We talk through what we call desperate faith. Why does comfort so often make us drift, while pain makes us pray? Jairus comes with urgency and risk as a synagogue leader, and the woman comes with quiet courage after exhausting doctors, money, and hope. When Jesus stops and asks, “Who touched me?” we dig into the difference between being near Jesus and reaching for Him with intention. That moment leads to one of the most personal themes of the conversation: proximity without relationship, and how Jesus restores a person’s identity, not just their circumstances. Midway through, we spotlight Straight Street Ministries, a local nonprofit serving people in crisis through Backpack Love for food insecurity, Street Impact accessibility builds, and the Beautiful Feet residential program helping adult women escape sexual exploitation. It’s a reminder that Jesus still notices individuals inside big needs, and the church can reflect that same care through prayer, giving, and hands-on service. If you’re wrestling with fear, waiting on a miracle, or wondering what to do when it feels too late, this one is for you. What would it look like for you to “only believe” this week? Subscribe to Jet Fuel Podcast, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review.

episode When The Pigs Panic And Grace Wins artwork

When The Pigs Panic And Grace Wins

We laugh about childhood “truths” we believed, then turn to Mark 5 where Jesus steps into Gentile territory and meets a man everyone else has given up on. We talk about brokenness, spiritual reality, and why Jesus doesn’t just offer relief but brings real restoration that turns our story into mission.  • Jesus moving toward outsiders and skeptical spaces  • the Gerasene man as a clear picture of deep brokenness  • Jesus meeting people in their mess without conditions  • why recognizing Jesus doesn’t always lead to surrender  • the difference between knowing about Jesus and trusting him with your life  • the reality of the spiritual realm without fear or hype  • Jesus’ unmatched authority over darkness  • the gospel making us new rather than “better”  • going from isolation to mission by sharing your story
