What he has found is as important as the solstice alignment of Stonehenge, as it marks a calendar throughout the solar year. Hugh and Stuart also discuss other sites that have a similar phenomenon, such as Karahan Tepe, Newgrange, and other ancient landscapes that incorporate this knowledge. Stuart Mason is a researcher, folklorist, author, and ancient landscape guide with over 30 years of experience studying archaeoastronomy and ancient cosmologies worldwide. His work focuses on lunar cycles, solstices, and long-term celestial patterns, and lived ion remote islands in the Pacific, where he learnt the indigenous systems of navigational astronomy. His focus now is on exploring how prehistoric monuments encode astronomical knowledge within mythic and ritual landscapes. Through field research, writing, and guided exploration, Stuart investigates the enduring relationship between land, sky, and sacred time.
