Hey Mermaids (and mamas!), Today marks Day 1 of our podcast giveaway + our 2nd official episode! We are chatting about the big two-letter word on the show: NO. Learning to say no can be very hard for many of us. Raise your hand if you identify as a people pleaser or a recovering people pleaser? If yes, this episode is for you! Saying no is something that is still a work in progress for me, but it is something I practice every single day -- with my little Bailey, in my business, with my team. With anyone. I make sure that I voice my desires, and I do so kindly but firmly. Key takeaways in today's episode: 1. No is a full sentence. Practice saying no on a daily basis -- to everything that doesn't serve you or bring your joy. 2. You can say no kindly, but firmly. You don't need to be Ursula the Witch about it. You can say no without justifying it to anyone. Or if you want to share why, make sure you aren't asking for permission, but merely informing and sharing why it's important to you. 3. If you say yes to everything, you are a) saying no to what truly lights you up b) you won't be good at every single thing and will be giving it 10% of your energy instead of 100%. 4. You cannot make everyone happy. It's impossible. So make sure you don't say yes to everything at the cost of yourself: your values, your integrity, what makes you who you are. Loved this episode?
