Ep. 3 - a New Future for Gaza, with Manar Al Sharif Manar Al-Sharif is a Syrian-Palestinian peace activist and journalism. She grew up in Damascus, Syria but was forced to leave amid the Civil War. Manar later arrived in Gaza to study journalism at the Islamic University, but dropped out over concerns of Hamas influence on the course. In this episode, Manar discusses her own journey as a Syrian-Palestinian peace activist and the courageous projects she has been a part of, whilst also shedding light on the dangerous reality of seeking peace in Hamas-run Gaza. As we approach the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords, Middle East Reimagined explores the ideas, perspectives, and ambitions shared by the Middle East’s young visionaries and future leaders. In a region plagued by conflict and war, the humanity, optimism, and determination of those looking to build a brighter future is too often overlooked.
