Middle East Reimagined
Dalia Ziada is an Egyptian writer and human rights activist, who serves as the Chairperson of the Liberal Democracy Institute and as a Senior Fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs. After the October 7th Attacks on Israel, Dalia Ziada criticised the actions of Hamas. As a result, she was forced to leave her home in Egypt out of fear for her safety. In this episode, she tells the brave story of her pursuit for peace, and her optimism for the future of the region. As we approach the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords, Middle East Reimagined explores the ideas, perspectives, and ambitions shared by the Middle East’s young visionaries and future leaders. In a region plagued by conflict and war, the humanity, optimism, and determination of those looking to build a brighter future is too often overlooked. In this series, we will introduce you to the voices of hope, keen to make the Middle East a better place, and determined to do so despite the obstacles around them. Welcome to Middle East Reimagined. Middle East Reimagined is project by the Pinsker Centre and the Forum for Regional Cooperation.
