In today’s sermon, Pastor Chad focused on Hebrews 5:11-6:3 where the author highlighted the need for the believer to mature in faith. As believers, if we read and hear God’s Word, but don’t apply it to our lives, then we risk hardening our hearts. Only by hearing God’s Word and applying it can we mature in our faith.

Continuing our Hebrews series, 'Jesus: Heard Because of His Reverence' (Hebrews 5:5–10), Pastor Chad explores how Jesus, our Saviour, can relate to us—having received a hard answer to His prayers from His Father. As God’s children, we often struggle when our prayers go unanswered, wondering if God hears us or cares. But just as Jesus trusted His Father’s goodness, we’re reminded that God always gives good gifts—even when they come in ways we don’t expect.

In today’s sermon, Pastor Chad continues our Hebrews series by exploring how true rest is only found when we come fully exposed before God. Drawing from Hebrews 4:13–16, we’re reminded that while our sin is laid bare before Him, we have a great High Priest who invites us to approach the throne with confidence. In Christ, we are both fully known and fully forgiven—and only then can we experience the deep, lasting rest our souls long for.

In the continuation of the Hebrews series (Hebrews 4:1-11), Pastor Chad explores the essential role of rest for our physical, mental, and spiritual health. God offers us a deep, lasting rest that refreshes our whole being and sustains us, but this promise won’t last forever—we must be sure to enter His rest while it’s still available.

As we continue our series in Hebrews, Pastor Chad examined Hebrews 3:7–19 this morning, reminding us that we are the house of God—His sons and daughters—if we persevere in trusting Him. True faith requires endurance through hardship and trials; it is by persevering that we affirm we truly belong to God. Scripture offers a sobering warning: some appear to go in and out of the house, but only those who remain show genuine faith. There’s a difference between seasons of struggle or doubt and a heart
