Instead, they discover the stone rolled away and hear the astonishing message from an angel: “He has risen. He is not here.” The empty tomb confirms everything Jesus claimed about Himself. His resurrection proves victory over sin and death and offers hope to everyone who believes. The Burial of Jesus | Courage, Prophecy & the Sealed Tomb | Mark 15:42–47

In this episode of My Bible Life, we continue our verse-by-verse study through the Gospel of Mark as we examine the burial of Jesus in Mark 15:42–47. After the crucifixion, an unexpected figure steps forward — Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the Jewish council. With courage, he goes to Pontius Pilate and asks for Jesus' body. Pilate confirms Jesus’ death through the Roman centurion before granting the request. Joseph carefully wraps Jesus in linen and places Him in a tomb cut from rock, sealing the entrance with a large stone.
