Descripción

Have you ever experienced temporary freedom from a struggle, only for it to return with a heavy wave of shame? The enemy’s greatest strategy isn't ownership—it's isolation and oppression. In Romans 8 and Colossians 1, Paul reminds us that we have been completely transferred out of the domain of darkness and into the kingdom of light, yet we still find ourselves fighting cycles of anxiety and depression. The enemy wants to pull you out of the present. Our greatest defense is learning to stand ground right where the Holy Spirit dwells. This week, Pastor Matt explores what healthy deliverance really looks like. ✨Not a rigid procedure, but human connection. ✨Not magical checklists, but reclaiming your choice. ✨Not living under the weight of spiritual shame, but locking eyes with the Deliverer. You'll discover: Why the Bible never actually uses the term "demon possession." How living in the future ("What-If Land") or the past ("Why Land") leaves us vulnerable to harassment. Why traditional, specialized deliverance programs can often cause more damage than healing. How true community and staying with people in love breaks the power of darkness. The battle isn't about finding a specialized expert to free you. The battle is about realizing you are already united with Christ. This message will equip you to break free from the loop of temporary relief, shake off the enemy's shame, and learn how to stand firm in the abundant life Jesus has already secured. "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:37 #NWCKC #NewWineKC #HealthyDeliverance #SpiritualWarfare #StandFirm #UnitedWithChrist

Healthy Deliverance

Have you ever believed a lie simply because it sounded like the truth? The enemy's greatest weapon isn't power--it's deception. In Colossians 2, Paul reminds us that while the world is filled with competing voices, philosophies, and distractions, Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness.  The only weapon left is the lie. Our greatest defense is learning to recognize His voice above all the others. This week, Pastor Matt explores what spiritual warfare really looks like ✨Not fear, but discernment. ✨Not striving, but radical humility. ✨Not living on the defensive but walking in the victory Christ has already won. You'll discover: Why deception is so difficult to recognize. How pride leaves us vulnerable, but humility positions us for God's grace. Why learning to listen to God's voice is one of the most powerful weapons we have. How the cross has already secured our victory. The battle isn't about who has more power. The battle is about which voice you'll believe. This message will equip you to learn how to stand firm in truth, push back darkness, and live from the victory Jesus has already accomplished. "He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them by the cross." episode Shame Off You artwork

Shame Off You

This week Pastor Kim May finishes out or God is Relational series by looking at shame, and our response to others struggles.  How many of us are carrying shame that God never intended us to bear? This week at New Wine, we explored a powerful truth: God's way is not "shame on you," it's "shame off you." Looking at the stories of Noah and the woman caught in adultery, we discovered the difference between exposing someone's failures and covering them with love, honor, and grace. While shame says, "You are a failure"  God's love says, "You are forgiven, valued, and deeply loved." Jesus never ignored sin, but He refused to define people by it. He removed condemnation and restored dignity. What if the question isn't, "Am I right?" but instead, "Am I love?" As followers of Christ, we're called to honor one another, forgive freely, and refuse to expose the weaknesses of others. We are called to be a people who declare: "Shame off you." Join us as we conclude our God Is Relational series and learn what it means to love others the way Christ loves us. "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." — 1 Peter 4:8 #NWCKC #NewWineKC #NoShame #Jesus #FreeFromShame #MadeNew #LoveOthers

episode The Fellowship of Suffering artwork

The Fellowship of Suffering

We spend much of our lives trying to avoid suffering. We numb it. Distract ourselves from it. Build coping mechanisms around it. Anything to keep from feeling the weight of what hurts. But what if God is waiting for us there? In the final week of our God Is Relational series, Pastor Matt explores the fellowship of suffering through Philippians 3:8-10. Paul tells us that knowing Christ means not only experiencing the power of His resurrection, but also sharing in His sufferings. The truth is, suffering reveals what is really inside of us. When pressure comes, when life squeezes us, who do we become? When Jesus was pressed, we saw love. We saw life. We saw blood and water poured out for the healing of the world. We may be victims of what has happened to us, but we do not have to live with a victim mentality.  As followers of the suffering servant, we are invited to meet God in the very places we would rather avoid. Because sometimes the deepest healing, the greatest freedom, and the most intimate encounters with God are found on the other side of leaning into the pain instead of running from it. If you are in a season of suffering, this message is going to encourage you and if you are in a season of coping, this message is going to help you find healing. #NewWineKC #GodIsRelational #FellowshipOfSuffering #Philippians3 #KnowChrist #NWCKC

episode You Are Not A Grasshopper artwork

You Are Not A Grasshopper

Have you ever let fear talk you out of something God was calling you into? Sometimes the loudest voice in our lives isn't God's voice, it's the words spoken over us years ago. Words that became beliefs. Beliefs that became limitations. And limitations that keep us standing outside the very promises God has prepared for us. This week, Ryan Finney explores a powerful biblical story of a promise delayed not because God failed, but because fear convinced people they weren't capable of receiving what He had already given them. The promise didn't change. The land didn't change. The obstacles didn't change. What changed was the mindset of the people. A new generation saw opportunity where the previous generation saw impossibility. The same is true for us. When we exchange the spirit of fear for the Spirit of adoption, we stop living as slaves to our insecurities and start walking as sons and daughters of God. Freedom begins when fear loses its voice. Join us as we discover how God is not only concerned with where you're going but who you're becoming along the way. Because God's greatest work is often not the destination... it's the transformation that happens before you get there. #NWCKC #NewWineChurch #SpiritofAdoption #NoFearInChrist #NoLongerSlaves #ChildOfGod
