Descripción

Rudy, as many of you might already know, is the front man and founder of The Unofficial Rolling Stones. Rudy has poured his heart and soul, not to mention a ton of moolah, into the creation of a dream-come-true. A rock and roll wonderland called Music City San Francisco. In this fascinating episode, Rudy also talks about how, at the ripe young age of seventeen, a chance meeting with John Lennon inspired him to pursue his dream of writing and performing music. And, of course, he and Steve Lynch also talk about Rudy's other great inspirations, including The Rolling Stones! In the words of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, “It’s only rock ’n’ roll (but he likes it!”).

Steve Lynch and the Godfather of Motor City Rock ‘n’ Roll!

Good golly, Miss Molly! When we first heard that Steve Lynch’s very first rock concert was Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels, we decided to surprise him with none other than the great Mitch Ryder as his special guest. And Steve was pleasantly surprised, to say the least! After all, Mitch Ryder is The Godfather of Motor City Rock ‘n’ Roll. (And Steve was born and bred in Detroit!) Mitch Ryder Is also the first living white artist to be inducted into the R&B Hall of Fame. (Elvis Presley had been inducted before Mitch, but posthumously.) Mitch Ryder’s gritty, high-octane, take-no-prisoners brand of Detroit rock ‘n’ roll (i.e., Devil With The Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly, C.C. Rider/Jenny Take A Ride, Little Latin Lupe Lu, etc.) has greatly influenced Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp and Iggy Pop. In this very special episode of No Shortage of Money with Steve Lynch, Mitch Ryder reveals to Steve some things he’s never before made public. Oh, the joy!
