And Steve was pleasantly surprised, to say the least! After all, Mitch Ryder is The Godfather of Motor City Rock ‘n’ Roll. (And Steve was born and bred in Detroit!) Mitch Ryder Is also the first living white artist to be inducted into the R&B Hall of Fame. (Elvis Presley had been inducted before Mitch, but posthumously.) Mitch Ryder’s gritty, high-octane, take-no-prisoners brand of Detroit rock ‘n’ roll (i.e., Devil With The Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly, C.C. Rider/Jenny Take A Ride, Little Latin Lupe Lu, etc.) has greatly influenced Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp and Iggy Pop. In this very special episode of No Shortage of Money with Steve Lynch, Mitch Ryder reveals to Steve some things he’s never before made public. Oh, the joy!
