On and Off the Table Podcast
In this episode, we’re getting real (and a little playful) about the things we wish more clients knew. Like when you try to “help” by lifting your arm — we love the effort, but you can totally relax and let us do the work. We talk about why consistency is key, how one session can’t undo years of tension or trauma, and what collaboration in your healing really looks like. We also get into what we’re actually noticing during your session (hint: it’s not judgment), why crying or falling asleep is completely welcome, and why alcohol and massage don’t mix as well as you might think. Our hope is that this episode puts your mind at ease about the things you might overthink — and if you’re a fellow massage therapist, comment one thing that you wish more of your clients knew! Show Notes - Content note: We briefly mention alcoholism in this episode. ✨ Huge thanks to our producer, Dane at Iwata Productions.
