First Responders don’t give up, spouses of First Responders don’t give up on them they need you more the ever. Do not brood over your past mistakes and failures as this will only fill your mind with grief, regret and depression. Do not repeat them in the future. Your past mistakes are meant to guide you not define you. As I talk more on the mental health aspect of being a first responder I give experience and knowledge into personal life and personal relationships. I share 5 tips for First Responder spouses to help the hero they love. More resources that are available to those who need it. Build that mental resilience!

What is mental resilience? Resilience is defined as the capacity to recover from difficulties or be flexible even through adversities. Mental resilience is defined as an individual's ability or life skills to adapt to hardships, stress, emotional difficulties, and mental health adversities. Mental toughness is not about building new strength it's working with the negative things in your life and turning them into something positive. A positive mindset attracts positivity. This is the law of attraction; Have morning affirmations. You can only reach your goals through commitment, consistency, and hard work. I keep telling myself this and you can tell yourself this; You have dug your soul out of the dark. You have fought to be here. Do not go back to what buried you. Anyone can give up, its the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

Welcome to On the front line, Off the clock with Trev

As i’’ve gone through big positive changes, hard times and major trials in my life I hope with sharing my lessons, experiences, and improvements and how I overcame trials and changed many things in my life will help other people that may be in a similar situation or help them before they get there. How accepting, finding the right therapist has helped me tremendously. How I didn’t let the negativity keep bringing me down, and how I reacted to it in a positive way still. Also how my job affected me mentally, and how it affected my everyday life, marriage, and relationships with family and friends. I also hope to share some great education topics and experience related to EMS, Firefighting, and search and rescue with occasional speakers to join me on the show. I hope as either First Responder viewers or civilian viewers you find episodes that will help you in your life and help grow your physical and mental health as well as job related training. As this episode comes to an end I hope you join me on episode 2. Thank you all for joining and hope you continue to follow me on this new show.
