episode Rivercene Mansion artwork

Rivercene Mansion

Join Brad, Frank and Nancy from Paranormal Patrol as they make their way to Boonville, Missouri on this epic investigation with our good friends Patriot Paranormal. Perched just across the Missouri River from Boonville, Rivercene Mansion was built in 1869 by steamboat captain Joseph Beeler Kinney, a wealthy figure during the golden age of river trade.Kinney designed the estate as a lavish summer retreat—an imposing Second Empire–style home with grand porches, ornate woodwork, and sweeping views of the river that made his fortune. The mansion symbolized both his success and the booming river economy of 19th-century Missouri.  Locals once mocked the project as “Kinney’s Folly,” believing it sat too close to the unpredictable Missouri River. But the mansion endured floods for over a century, outlasting its critics and becoming a historic landmark.  ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode Visiting Wood Island artwork

Visiting Wood Island

We began Season 2 by interviewing bestselling author JD Barker and spoke with him regarding his upcoming novel (now released) "Something I keep Upstairs." We learned this small island located off the coast of Kittery Maine has a tragic past... having been used as a quarantine zone for those affected with Yellow Fever in the late 1800's and early 1900s. It was also the site of a water rescue station. Why a rescue station? Because those waters are notoriously dangerous and have caused many lives to be lost throughout the last century. Local rumors are plentiful about the hauntings that occur on the isle. It was this history and legends which spurred JD to write his newest novel as he routinely saw the island during his morning runs. As a bonus after the interview, JD arranged to have Paranormal Patrol attend his book signing party on the island! Yes, Jenny, Frank, Brad, and Iakona had the chance to step foot on this isle and do some investigating themselves during the book release party!! While we were unable to spend the night, we WILL be going back to spend at least a night as even in that short time we had there, we were able to catch some possible activity! So, for our season finale, enjoy our tale of our trip to Wood Island in Kittery Maine! You may have noticed some changes to the people on the microphone, we have some changes we are trying out to maximize listener entertainment and to enable us to generate more content for you so please bear with us as we fine tune our team and our episodes! ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode Kansas State Penitentiary artwork

Kansas State Penitentiary

Join Frank, Brad, Iakona & Nancy (Jenn investigated this location on a different night) as they experience the strange and paranormal events of the famous "Kansas State Penn". Located in Lansing Kansas that dates back to the mid 19th century. The Kansas Constitution authorized the prison in 1859. The land was purchased in 1861, and construction began in 1864, using prison labor. Despite delays due to the Civil War, the main building was completed in 1867, and the facility began accepting prisoners in July 1868. The prison housed numerous infamous individuals, including figures like Emmet Dalton (of the Dalton Gang), Perry Smith and Richard Hickok (Subject in "Cold Blood"), and Harvey Bailey (cohort of Machine Gun Kelly). The prison experienced it's share of riots, escapes, including a notable one in 1933 during a baseball game where Wilbur Undersell kidnapped the warden. Iconic musicians like Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash performed at the facility in the early 1970's. The Lansing Prison stands as a significant historical landmark and has deep roots of haunted and paranormal activity. Our team experienced EVP's and an entity with enough energy to touch lift Brad's hat off of his and thrown to the ground! It was one of our more intense & wild investigation's. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

episode The Belvoir Winery artwork

The Belvoir Winery

Formerly the location of an Odd Fellows hospital and possibly school, This is one of the more recognizable locations in Missouri for Paranormal Enthusiasts. While it has been visited by many popular and famous teams of investigators, Paranormal Patrol has taken up the task of investigating it for ourselves! Join Jenny, Frank, and Brad of the team (Iakona was absent once again due to another vacation or something... can someone please find this guy a job?). Along with them are guests Nancy and Taylor whom our listeners may already be very familiar with. What makes this location special? Aside from the known fact it once belonged to the Odd Fellows Society? You know, the organization that does everything it can to help those in need... but also has a very intense fascination with death. Well, it is now a winery and hotel! It is also a popular location for weddings with its picturesque grounds! But more than that, there is a former member of the Odd Fellows still on site! It seems one of the members was so dedicated to the society, he donated his body to the organization to be used for future rituals. Well, the Odd Fellows are no longer there but his skeletal remains are! Locked in a glass coffin and on display for the public, you can have a glass of wine with the former member! Thinking about it.. he is still there, the building is still there... is he really a FORMER member? Anyway, join the team as they discover there may be much more truth to the hauntings than may have initially been suspected! As always, Listener discretion is advised. This show may contain adult humor, language, and situations. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.
