God alone gives the growth. But He chooses to use us in the process. We don’t grow people—but we are responsible to serve them. To plant the seed. To water with truth. To trust God with the results. Immature Christians This Sunday, we opened 1 Corinthians 3:1–4 and saw Paul confront the church—not because they didn’t believe, but because they hadn’t grown. They were saved but still worldly—living in jealousy, division, and giving their allegiance to people instead of Christ. Big Idea: The conduct of immature Christians damages the unity within the church. Spiritual growth isn’t automatic. It happens when we respond to God’s Word, let the Spirit mature us, and live in a way that builds up the body of Christ. But through the Spirit, God gives us more than understanding—He gives us the ability to think like Jesus. His Spirit reshapes how we see the world, how we respond, and how we live. Big Idea: God’s Spirit gives me the ability to think the right way about everything.
