2025 Annual Meeting - HD Jones

Our 2025 Harvest Annual Meeting was held at The Grove Church on Tuesday, October 21st. We had a great turnout, with 137 people attending from 33 of our churches. The Grove did an outstanding job hosting the event, starting with a delicious taco bar supper. They also provided dozens of workers who helped with parking, greeting and directing people, and supplying everything needed. We want to thank them for all their efforts in making this year’s meeting a success. Special music was provided by The Grove Worship Team, and Rev. H.D. Jones, pastor of Temple Baptist, preached the sermon. During the business session: * Union Hill Baptist and The Church at Grace Park were voted into our association as members in good standing. * Rev. Greg Young, Cherry Mound, was voted in as Moderator for the next two years, taking over from Rev. Chad Phalen, Ebenezer, who served diligently from 2023–25. * Rev. John Jared, Oak Grove, was elected as Vice Moderator. The Honduras Mission Trip participants were prayed over as they prepared to leave on their journey. Exciting announcements: * Association Youth Directors, Nick Hartman and Chase Southerland, announced that we are launching a Youth Camp starting summer 2026. * Bro. Rob Burdette, our Associational Missionary, gave a report on the work of our association this year and introduced Noah and Hanna Leighton as our new Church Planters that we will be sponsoring. He asked all churches to pray about supporting this new work. We look forward to what God is going to do in our association in 2026!

Friends of Nazareth (FON). The FON ministry is a 501 (c)(3) corporation that is dedicated to supporting the Nazareth Baptist School. FON serves at the invitation of the Nazareth Baptist School (NBS), Nazareth Israel. Nazareth Baptist School (NBS) [https://www.baptist.co.il/] began as a ministry of the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention in 1935-36 school year. It has been in continuous operation, except for a break for the 1948 war period, since its inception. Its foundational principles are Evangelical. Its vision is for Building the Rising Generations – Glorifying Jesus Christ through Distinctive Education. It is a K-12th school with about 1000 students. Unique to any of the Christian schools in Israel, NBS requires that EVERY student attend age-graded chapel and Bible class. Reports come in regularly of amazing things happening in the classroom, chapel, courtyard, camps, clubs, and in the community. Thank you for letting us go and be the “hands and feet” of Jesus. NBS could not continue and we could not go if it weren’t for the diligent prayers and faithful gifts of our friends. Simply put … thank you!
