Okay, so I'm pretty sure this is the last followup installment of my Gifted Child Syndrome/Model Child series, but.... In this episode, I wanted to cover what it's like to spend most of your childhood as a pseudo-adult and having to scramble to pick up the pieces in your adult years. There's a super crazy disconnect of how to care for yourself and manage your own responsibilities or even how to just relax and figure out who you are as a person and what you like when you spent a great deal of your upbringing being the emotional (and sometimes physical) caregiver for members in your family.
