Raising Flora Podcast
Today, I talk about nourishing our tweens and teens through puberty with Brandee Hommerding of Bee Collective Wellness. Brandee is a certified nutrition therapy practitioner and a self-proclaimed diet culture dropout who works with women to overcome challenges like bloating, fatigue, PMS and irregular menstrual cycles. I so enjoyed our conversation because it's both deep and practical. We talked about * how to talk with your kids about macronutrients and why breakfast really is their most important meal of the day; * how our bodies change during puberty and menopause and ways to nourish ourselves and our daughters through these big life changes; * and I asked Brandee the million dollar question on all our minds... What does a healthy relationship with our body look like? And how do we help give that to our daughters? I hope you'll take her answer as a gentle reminder that self compassion is everything.
