Accepting we have SAD

Denial, shame, sadness, anger - these are all normal emotions experienced by anyone living with a long term health condition like SAD. Awareness of our condition and how it affects us and experiencing some of the darker emotions are part of the journey to acceptance and integration.

Candlemas/Groundhog Day/Brigid & Imbolc

Join me for a quick tour of the traditions around the 1 & 2 February, which mark the mid-way point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Celebrating the return of light to the land, this time was important to our pagan ancestors and is recognised by the Christian faith as Candlemas. The secular festival of Groundhog Day also harks back to a tradition of predicting how much longer winter will last come February.
