PODCAST CLIP: MY IMPROMPTU ENCOUNTER WITH THE DATA CENTER MAFIA

PODCAST CLIP: MY IMPROMPTU ENCOUNTER WITH THE DATA CENTER MAFIA Are you aware that Republicans in Niagara County just voted against a moratorium on data centers? Then today, by complete coincidence, I found myself sitting in a café at a business meeting where one of the biggest developers in Niagara Falls got up and announced plans to put a data center in downtown Niagara Falls. And people smiled and expressed support! Some people will say they weren’t really supporting it. Some will say they were just being polite. But nobody stood up and said no.So I did.I said I wasn’t for it. I walked out. Why?Because I believe this is one of the most important fights facing Niagara Falls. These projects promise the world. They take up enormous amounts of land, consume massive amounts of power, create relatively few jobs, and threaten to transform our waterfront and our community forever. The people behind these projects have money. They have influence. They have connections.I don’t.What I have is my voice—and hopefully your support.Because if I’m going to keep fighting this, I can’t do it alone. They’re going to come after me. They’ll run ads. They’ll spread rumors. They’ll try to make this fight about me instead of the future of Niagara Falls.Don’t let them.If you believe the Niagara River is too important to hand over to data center developers, stand with me.Go to VoteNateMcMurray.com.Let’s fight for Niagara Falls together.#NiagaraFalls #DataCenters #StopTheDataCenters #NiagaraRiver #ProtectTheNiagara #NotOnTheRiver #SaveOurWaterfront #PeopleOverProfits #FollowTheMoney #CorporateWelfare #EconomicDevelopment #WesternNewYork #NiagaraCounty #LocalPolitics #NewYorkPolitics #FightForNiagara #StandUpAndFight #CommunityFirst #VoteNateMcMurray #NateMcMurray #NateCast #TheNateMcMurrayShow

episode MY CONFRONTATION WITH THE DATA CENTER CROWD: WHAT WE’RE REALLY UP AGAINST artwork

MY CONFRONTATION WITH THE DATA CENTER CROWD: WHAT WE’RE REALLY UP AGAINST

MY CONFRONTATION WITH THE DATA CENTER CROWD: WHAT WE’RE REALLY UP AGAINST Today I talk about a confrontation I had with the data center crowd—and why I believe this fight is about to get very real. I was invited to a business networking event in Lewiston. During the meeting, a speaker proudly announced plans for a data center in downtown Niagara Falls. The room smiled. Others stood up afterward to express support. I sat there stunned. Finally, I said, “I’m not for it.” I was immediately told that this was supposed to be a friendly event and that everyone was there to support one another. My response was simple: I’m not going to applaud something I believe is bad for Niagara Falls. Before I left, I told the developer exactly what I thought. I told him I’m going to do everything I can to stop this project. And yes, I called him a son of a bitch. Oops. I want trying to impress them. I was trying to remind him. No one wants this outside of that room. Because this isn’t some small disagreement. This is a battle over the future of our region. The people pushing these projects have enormous resources. They represent powerful interests and billionaires with deep pockets. If I continue fighting this, and especially if I win office, they’re going to come after me. You’ll see advertisements. You’ll see attacks. You’ll see smear campaigns. That’s why I need your help. If elected, I will fight for a permanent moratorium on data centers along the Niagara River and in the Niagara Falls waterfront corridor. But I can’t do it alone. Please stand with me. Visit VoteNateMcMurray.com and join the fight. Also in today’s episode: • The disappointing surrender in Iran and what it says about America’s endless cycle of war. • The green algae, peeling paint, and embarrassing conditions at the National Monument—and why it’s becoming a perfect metaphor for the current Trump presidency. • Why neglect, decay, and a lack of accountability are becoming the defining themes of our politics. The future of Niagara is worth fighting for. Let’s talk about it. #StopTheDataCenters #SaveTheNiagaraRiver #NiagaraFallsDeservesBetter #FollowTheMoney #WhoBenefits #FightForNiagara #NotOnTheRiver #PeopleOverProfits #CorporateWelfare #StandWithNate #BreakTheMachine #VoteNateMcMurray #NiagaraFalls #WesternNewYork #NateCast

episode PODCAST CLIP: THEY DIDN’T JUST NEGLECT NIAGARA FALLS — THEY DESIGNED IT THIS WAY artwork

PODCAST CLIP: THEY DIDN’T JUST NEGLECT NIAGARA FALLS — THEY DESIGNED IT THIS WAY

PODCAST CLIP: THEY DIDN’T JUST NEGLECT NIAGARA FALLS — THEY DESIGNED IT THIS WAY People talk about Niagara Falls like its problems just happened. They didn’t.For decades, decisions were made that weakened the city. They built highways around Niagara Falls, cutting neighborhoods off from commerce and from each other. They took parking, attractions, and amenities that could have supported local businesses and concentrated them inside the state park, making it harder for the city itself to benefit from the millions of visitors who come every year. They built a casino downtown that generates enormous revenue, yet much of that money never reaches the people of Niagara Falls. That was. Republican deal by the ay. They rarely talk about the industrial contamination that still hangs over the region. Love Canal wasn’t ancient history. The chemical legacy of this area is real, and pretending otherwise doesn’t make it disappear. Then they carved up the city politically. Gerrymandering reduced Niagara Falls’ influence at the county level and weakened its voice in regional decision-making.Meanwhile, county government has been dominated by the Republican party for decades. Instead of working with Albany to secure investments, infrastructure, and resources for Niagara Falls, too often local leaders have chosen ideological fights over practical solutions. They took away control of the bridges. They took away control of the power. They took away control of the casino. Then they wonder why the city struggles. And here’s the thing: despite all of that, Niagara Falls survives.Because the Falls themselves are one of the greatest natural wonders on Earth. Because the people are resilient. Because generations of families refused to give up on their city. The story of Niagara Falls isn’t a story of failure. It’s a story of a city that has been held back by bad decisions—and what could happen if we finally start making better ones.

episode PODCAST CLIP: WHAT IS A DATA CENTER, AND WHY SHOULD NIAGARA FALLS CARE? artwork

PODCAST CLIP: WHAT IS A DATA CENTER, AND WHY SHOULD NIAGARA FALLS CARE?

PODCAST CLIP: WHAT IS A DATA CENTER, AND WHY SHOULD NIAGARA FALLS CARE? People keep hearing the words “data center” and thinking it’s some magical high-tech factory of the future. It’s not. A data center is basically a giant warehouse full of computers. Thousands and thousands of servers stacked in racks, sucking up enormous amounts of electricity and generating huge amounts of heat. That’s why they need industrial cooling systems, backup power systems, and often rows of diesel generators. And here’s what they don’t tell you. Those cooling systems make noise. Not a little noise. A constant industrial whine. A screeching, humming, buzzing sound that can travel for miles depending on the design and weather conditions. Go talk to communities that already live near large data centers. The complaints are everywhere. The jobs? Usually far fewer than advertised. Once they’re built, many operate with surprisingly small staffs. The power demand? Massive. The land they consume? Massive. The tax breaks they ask for? Massive. Now ask yourself this: Why would we put something like that next to one of the most beautiful natural wonders on Earth? Niagara Falls should be investing in tourism, entertainment, parks, culture, restaurants, hotels, and attractions that bring people to the waterfront—not industrial computer warehouses surrounded by fences, security cameras, and diesel generators. I’m not anti-technology. I’m using technology right now. I’m saying location matters. Put data centers on brownfields. Put them in industrial zones. Put them where they belong. Just don’t put them on the Niagara River. Some places are too valuable to waste. #NiagaraFalls #DataCenters #NiagaraRiver #EconomicDevelopment #Tourism #WesternNewYork #ProtectTheFalls #Infrastructure #Technology #NiagaraUSA

NATECAST — JUNE 16, 2026TOXIC WASTE, DATA CENTERS, WAR, AND UFC

NATECAST — JUNE 16, 2026TOXIC WASTE, DATA CENTERS, WAR, AND UFC This week on NateCast: More contamination concerns are making headlines in Niagara Falls. The answer isn’t pretending the problem doesn’t exist. The answer isn’t protecting the companies responsible. The answer is organizing, demanding answers, cleaning it up, and making sure it never happens again. Love Canal taught us a lesson. The question is whether we’ve learned it. Next. What exactly is a data center? How much power do they consume? How many jobs do they actually create? Who makes the money? I break down how these facilities work and why I believe they should never be built along the Niagara River or Niagara Gorge. And I’ll repeat a promise I’ve made throughout this campaign: If I’m elected, I will fight to make sure industrial data centers never line the Niagara River. 2. Iran War Every war begins with promises. Quick victory. Limited costs. No long-term consequences. History says otherwise. Wars are easy to start, incredibly expensive to fight, and painfully difficult to end. Trump just learned, 3. UFC at the Whitehouse I discuss the proposed UFC event at the White House and what it says about American culture, politics, and where our country may be heading. Is it harmless fun? Political genius? Or a sign of something deeper? Let’s talk about it. #NateCast #NiagaraFalls #LoveCanal #DataCenters #NiagaraRiver #WesternNewYork #War #ForeignPolicy #UFC #Politics #NiagaraCounty #NateMcMurray
