Speculations: Guess to Impress

What if I asked, or compelled you, to explain something you don’t really know about. Not a position we often find ourselves in, but stick with me. Some of you might wing it, or try and bullshit your way through. Most of you would just look it up on your phone and “yeah here’s the answer”. On this show we can’t look anything up. We use, or aspire to use something like deductive reasoning, critical inquiry—I don’t really know how to do those things, but there is lots of speculation — that’s all we’ve got. Me and a guest pretty much wonder aloud to each other and try to explain the thing, again, no research permitted — and that’s the show. We tackle the subject and speculate. Then an expert drops in to let us know if we were on target or way off, and directs us on where to learn more, and you’ll find those learning links in the episode notes. Topic ideas? I’m all ears.
