Steven Frey, a sports medicine board certified orthopeadic surgeon and Brandon Olaya, a certified athletic trainer, will be talking about the injuries of current athletes and what those injuries may mean for the athlete. In a relaxed format, we will explain the injury, treatment options, and expected return to sport as well career impact. We will have various guests - physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers and some athletes talking shop. Intended to be a little more light hearted than this topic is usually presented... over a couple beers.

Patent foramen ovale is one kind of hole in the heart and we learn just how shockingly common it is and why Letang needed a procedure to close it. We have previously discussed Letang coming back from two strokes, and now we know why. This is outlier sports medicine that you may not have ever learned about previously!
