04-14-24: Trusting in the Miracle

Scripture: Mark 8:14 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWFS1kNou6k&t=494s]-21 Jesus has a pattern of making miraculous things happen in the face of the mundane - and yet, sometimes we still don't trust or know what is possible. In this way, we aren't too different from the disciples. Join us as we turn our attention to the first of Jesus' fourfold action in the Gospels - take - and look at what it means to truly receive the gifts that God offers us.

04-07-24: Finding God in the Mundane

Sometimes it feels like Easter must have happened...for someone else. But not for us, because we still have problems and grief, and questions and doubts. And that is apparently where our two friends find themselves as they're walking on the road to Emmaus. Right there, on that dusty trail, is the fulfillment of the promise we spoke of in last Sunday's benediction - that the grace of God will find us. When their journey is complete, the two travelers finally realize who Jesus is in his fourfold action of taking, blessing, breaking, and giving. And all of the sudden, they'll realize that this is the God who makes mundane things amazing...who makes walks home meaningful...who makes bread something more...who makes ordinary things extraordinary.

03-31-24: Easter Sunday Worship

Easter Sunday brings us to the end of this Holy Week journey - from the mountaintop, to the deepest valley, and then into the stratosphere of God's incomprehensible grace! We celebrate resurrection and what it means to us. And we remind ourselves that, while it is the end of Holy Week, and it is the end of our Lenten journey, it is also very very much a beginning.

We're nearing the end of our journey through the Discipleship Pathway! This week, our focus is on SERVE practices, and how we put our faith into action. As we celebrate Palm Sunday, we'll look at the very first time the church assembled, and what we can glean for our lives of faith today. Thank you for joining us!
