Avocados, Baby Animals and a Celebration of Women in Agriculture
In this episode, MJ speaks with Vicki Baylis from the Atherton Tablelands Agricultural Society about what's shaping up to be another exciting Atherton Show.
This year’s event will celebrate the United Nations International Year of the Woman Farmer.
From women who worked the land during the war years to today’s farmers, producers, and industry leaders, the show is shining a spotlight on the women who have helped shape agriculture across the Tablelands.
Vicki also shares some of the new attractions visitors can look forward to, including avocado-themed competitions, the Avocadash relay race, baby animals in a new location, and plenty of opportunities for the community to get involved.
Whether you're there for the agriculture, the exhibits, the entertainment, or the show food, there's something for everyone at this year's Atherton Show.
