Episode 175: Survived a Ghost-The Devil's Tramping Ground

Hello       Welcome back  This is survived with Sophie and Lexi We started telling our survived story (in college) and we are moving on to being you guys more Through many different topics The Devil’ s Tramping Ground, also called the Devil’ s Stomping Ground, is a camping site hidden in the woods near Harper’ s Crossroads in Bear Creek, North Carolina. For generations it’s been wrapped in local lore: a perfect circle roughly 40 feet across where nothing will grow and anything left inside overnight vanishes. Legend says the Devil himself “tramps” this barren ring, pacing in endless circles as he plots new ways to unleash evil.

Episode 174: The Butcher Baker of Alaska

Hello       Welcome back  This is survived with Sophie and Lexi We started telling our survived story (in college) and we are moving on to being you guys more Through many different topics Robert Christian Boes Hansen (February 15, 1939 – August 21, 2014), nicknamed the “ Butcher Baker,” was an American serial killer who preyed on women in Anchorage, Alaska, from about 1972 until his arrest in 1983. Over that period he abducted, raped and murdered at least seventeen women, releasing many into the Alaskan wilderness only to hunt them down with a Ruger Mini-14 rifle and hunting knives. Convicted in 1983, he received a 461-year sentence without parole and died of natural causes in custody at age 75.

Hello       Welcome back  This is survived with Sophie and Lexi We started telling our survived story (in college) and we are moving on to being you guys more Through many different topics In 2010, Matthew Hoffman broke into Tina Herrmann’s home intending to commit a burglary but instead killed Herrmann, her friend Stephanie Sprang, and Herrmann’s 11-year-old son Kody Maynard. He concealed their dismembered bodies inside a hollow, 60-foot-tall tree. During the same crime spree, he abducted Herrmann’s 13-year-old daughter, Sarah Maynard, who ultimately survived and later recounted the horrors she endured.

Episode 172: Brianna Zunino Denison

Hello       Welcome back  This is survived with Sophie and Lexi We started telling our survived story (in college) and we are moving on to being you guys more Through many different topics Brianna Zunino Denison (March 29, 1988 – January 20, 2008) was an American college student who vanished from a friend’ s house in Reno, Nevada, in the early hours of January 20, 2008. Her body was recovered on February 15, 2008, in a field near a Reno business park; the medical examiner determined she had been raped and murdered. In 2010, James Michael Biela was convicted of her abduction, sexual assault, and murder and received a death sentence.
