The Allison Pavone Show
Today, I sat down with Helene Leeds and Penelope Popken, mom and daughter who both struggled with their health and weight. In this conversation and interview with mother and daughter we discuss what lead to Penelope's struggle with weight, as she was 15 and 350 pounds and how she tried every diet, and how the quick fixes didn't help. We speak about weight loss drugs like Ozempic and how losing weight does not have to be with drugs. In the interview with Helene, we take a deep dive into her past with food and how she grew up in a home with dysfunctional eaters. Both learned that food addition is real and it was the patterns that contributed to their unhealthy lifestyle. Since Helene and Penelope have had to overcome their individual struggles with unhealthy eating and obesity, they have started the Step it Up program to help other women in their position. After failed attempts at diets, injections and pills they are on a mission to help everyone learn how to nourish their bodies more deeply to live their best life!
