S3E9. Everyone Wants a Village, But Not Everyone Wants to Be a Villager: When ‘Protecting Your Peace’ Becomes the Problem.

In this final episode before I step away for maternity leave, I want to leave you with something that’s been sitting on my heart, the truth about community, connection, and the modern obsession with “protecting your peace.” We live in a world that celebrates independence, self-care, and boundaries, all important things. But somewhere along the way, the “self, self, self” narrative began to isolate us. We say we want a village, but many of us struggle to actually be villagers. People struggle to show up, serve, and stay connected when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient. In this conversation, we’ll explore: 💭 Why everyone craves a village but few want the responsibility that comes with it 💭 How the “protect your peace” movement can unintentionally lead to loneliness and disconnection 💭 The difference between healthy boundaries and emotional walls 💭 What it really takes to build authentic support 💭 How to balance your own needs while still being part of something bigger than yourself 💭 How to stop comparing the people in your life and start seeing everyone’s uniqueness. As I prepare to welcome my baby and step into my own season of needing my village, this episode is both a reflection and a gentle reminder… Real community asks for our presence, not just our preferences. Sometimes peace isn’t found in pulling away, it’s found in showing up. S3E8. Confession: I Don’t Know What I’m Doing With My Life (motherhood, home, & business)

In this honest and heartfelt episode, I’m opening up about something we’ve all felt but rarely admit out loud: “I don’t know what I’m doing with my life.” Whether it’s motherhood, home life, relationships or business, there are seasons where the path feels blurry and the balance impossible. But what if not knowing is actually the beginning of deeper alignment? Join me as we explore how to navigate uncertainty, reconnect with your intuition, and find peace in the in-between. Because even when life feels messy and unclear, you’re still being guided. We Chat: * The messy middle of not knowing what’s next * Letting go of the pressure to have everything figured out * Listening to your intuition when everyone else seems to have it figured out * How to trust the universe and surrender control * The beauty and purpose in seasons of waiting or realignment * Reconnecting with your identity beyond roles and responsibilities * Finding peace in the in-between Follow on social media for updates and additional resources: → Follow Jessica on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jessicahayescoaching/ → Check out the website and my offerings: https://www.jessicahayes.com/ We’d love to hear your thoughts on this episode! episode S3E7. How I’ve Been Standing in My Own Way and Blocking My Desires artwork

S3E7. How I’ve Been Standing in My Own Way and Blocking My Desires

In this episode, I’m opening up about the very real ways I’ve been sabotaging the things I’ve always said I wanted. From love to peace to alignment, I’ve noticed how often I find fault, question, or push away the very opportunities I’ve been calling in. I also talk about the trap of getting caught up in “the shoulds”, who I think I should be, what my life should look like, how I should be further ahead. Add in the weight of comparison, and it’s no surprise I’ve been ruining my own peace and blocking my desires without even realising it. * I share my personal journey of recognising these patterns, * How control, fear, and self-sabotage were keeping me stuck, * The lessons I’m learning about surrendering, trusting the process, and finally letting go. This episode is for you if you’ve ever: * Asked for something, only to resist it when it shows up * Felt like you were protecting your peace, but realised you were actually blocking it * Struggled with comparison or feeling trapped by “shoulds” * Wondered if you’re standing in your own way My hope is that by sharing my struggles with sabotage, comparison, and surrender, you’ll feel less alone in your own journey, and inspired to soften, trust, and allow what you truly desire to come in. Whether you see yourself as anxious, avoidant, or somewhere in between, this episode offers insight, compassion, and practical tools for growth. episode S3E5. What to Do When You and Your Partner aren't Growing at the Same Pace artwork

S3E5. What to Do When You and Your Partner aren't Growing at the Same Pace

🔝 Private 1:1 Coaching NOW OPEN - BOOK A FREE CALL [https://jessicahayes.as.me/schedule/6449c141/appointment/46300871/calendar/8366279?appointmentTypeIds[]=46300871] 🆓 Download the free Weekly Couple's Check-in Guide - Conscious Love HERE [https://jessicahayes.myflodesk.com/consciouslove] In this episode, we dive into one of the most relatable and sometimes challenging aspects of relationships...what happens when you and the people you love are growing at different paces. From friendships where one friend is having kids while another is traveling the world, to romantic partnerships where timelines don’t always match up, we explore how to stay connected without needing to be on the same timeline. You’ll hear insights on: * Why friendships can thrive even when life stages look completely different. * How to tell the difference between a temporary pacing mismatch and a deeper incompatibility in romantic relationships. * The role of patience and support when your partner seems “behind” in certain areas. * Practical ways to maintain emotional connection when the outside circumstances don’t align. * The importance of focusing on direction and values over synchronised milestones. * How to set clear timeline boundaries when you're partner keeps refusing to do the work or grow. * The importance of finding a community that aligns with the direction you are heading. Final Takeaway: Life will always place us on different timelines, but what matters most is walking in the same direction with respect, love, and curiosity. Connection doesn’t depend on identical pacing, it depends on choosing to grow together in the ways that matter most.
