episode S2E9: Just Trek artwork

S2E9: Just Trek

Justin "Justroc" Rimon is an LA based trekker + explorer, event producer, outdoor content creator, experiential marketer, former talent manager of celebrity dance group I.aM.mE [http://i.am.me/] Crew (MTV's ABDC Season 6 Champions) and former LA community manager at Gogobot/Trip by Skyscanner. Justin is the founder of Just Trek Crew, and is the host and producer of the Just Trek Podcast. Justin prides himself on being a catalyst for meaningful experiences—both online and in the real world—empowering others to explore more, connect deeper, and live life to the fullest. The first time I saw one of Justin’s posts he was dancing with his homie on top of a mountain and I thought “that’s amazing, I’ve never seen a b-boy or breaker out on the trail.” For some reason I had a feeling our paths would cross one day. I’d soon learn that not only did Justroc have a dope podcast, but he had an entire community behind Just Trek. From hosting hikes to outdoor gatherings and informative nature walks, Justin’s goal is to help people get to know the outdoors on a more intimate level because as he says in the episode, “you can’t love what you don’t know.” I am inspired by his accomplishments, his mission, and just his overall good vibe. He just released his 100th episode of the Just Trek Podcast and I am honored to have him on.

episode S2E7: Snow Peak Way with Veronika of Bardo Tea artwork

S2E7: Snow Peak Way with Veronika of Bardo Tea

Veronika is the co-founder of Bardo Tea in Portland, Oregon, which specializes in single origin teas from China and Taiwan, along with the weekly practice of tea as meditation. She grew up in NYC during the 80s as a political refugee, and subsequently spent her early adulthood steeped in the NYC arts world. This story of her background, paired with deep spiritual practices surrounding meditation, astrology and mythology, informs what she offers in her weekly meditations at Bardo. Bardo is honored to be the tea purveyor and ambassador at Snowpeak. The first workshop at my first ever Snow Peak Way was a morning tea ceremony with Veronika of Bardo Tea. It was the first time I had sat with tea and experienced the journey of each cup…really taking it in with all the senses on a crisp morning at Campfield in Long Beach, Washington. I remember feeling the transfer of warmth from the cup to my hands, gazing into the tea as it reflected the leaves and trees above. It was absolutely beautiful and really set the tone for a day full of workshops. So much so that Shelby and I went to Bardo when we were in Portland the following week. This podcast is part regular episode and part tea ceremony as we are joined by Karolina, Guy and Jack. Please relax and enjoy along with us.

episode S2E6: Snow Peak Way: Sir Campalot artwork

S2E6: Snow Peak Way: Sir Campalot

Sir Campalot is a family-focused outdoor creator who shares his love for camping, cooking, and adventure. Camping with his wife, daughter, and two dogs, he explores different styles of camping, from Airstream Basecamp trips to car camping escapes. Based in Washington, he often journeys through the Pacific Northwest and beyond, taking road trips for longer adventures. His channel emphasizes the joy of cooking and enjoying meals around the campsite with family and friends, blending food, fire, and community. Through gear reviews, tips, and immersive experiences, he inspires others to embrace the outdoors and make lasting memories together. It was Snow Peak Way 2024 at Campfield in Long Beach, Washington…my first Snow Peak Way. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous being the newbie Snow Peak ambassador. Cue the slow motion: Sir Campalot and I crossed paths. Not gonna lie, I was a little star struck… actually, a lot star struck. I had already logged hours of his content, and it was through the Sir Campalot YouTube channel that I truly fell in love with Snow Peak. I walked toward him, introduced myself, and, of course, he was warm, welcoming, and every bit as cool as I had imagined. Newborn in one arm, shaking my hand with the other. Fast forward a year: I’m proud to be a Snow Peak ambassador alongside him and grateful to call him a friend. I was honored to share takibi time with Si-Khoa and his family. The food was delicious and his advice about camping with a newborn was top tier. I hope you enjoy the first of what I hope will become many conversations surrounding our love for community, camping, and Snow Peak. episode S2E5: Snow Peak Way with Jin artwork

S2E5: Snow Peak Way with Jin

Jin Liu is a Southern California–based Snow Peak ambassador who loves good gear, stunning views, and documenting adventures through photography. Living with a congenital heart condition has shaped Jin’s style of camping—slower, cozier, and focused on simplicity. Instead of hauling tons of equipment or wasting precious time on setup and breakdown, Jin embraces gear that makes camping easy and meaningful. Out in nature, it’s all about embracing life and making forever memories with her dog, Winston. I first met Jin like I met most of my camping homies… online! I was initially drawn to the overall aesthetic of her camping setup…cozy, practical, not overcrowded, but with just enough flair and gear to cover all the bases of what you would need and want at camp. Jin is an artist, there’s no doubt about it, crafting her camping setups to accommodate and inspire based on the people in the group she is camping with. She led a workshop at Snow Peak Way where fellow campers were able to make their own delicious dish…which, I might add, included the best potatoes I’ve ever had. She not only feeds her campers’ tummies but also nurtures their souls. Jin was our camp neighbor at SPW and so glad I got to spend time and share delicious food with her family and friends…extra shout out to Winston and Topher… the bestest camp dogs. (B-roll shots on IG and TT Reels of Jin’s set up, I’ll try to have more in the vlog as well)
