Acerca de The Campus Conversation

Hosted, by Theophilus, and Samantha, join us three every other week as we table topics about navigating life, culture, relationships and adulthood in a way that honours Christ. We are here to encourage young adults to realign themselves to view all things through a lens that is the KINGDOM. Our passion is to see people grow in the knowledge of what it means to be the salt and light of our generation. It's a conversation, so take a seat with us as we take all types of topics and align our lives with what Scripture says about it.

We Are Back!

Hey Everyone! It has been more than a minute since you have heard us. Today we are back with a little update, a few changes, and a bit of backtracking to discuss some of the barriers to being consistent. On this episode as we talk about our struggle in maintaining this podcast to highlight a bigger issue of being consistent and faithful with the tasks that we have been given from God.  Key takeaways:  * For lack of knowledge the people parish, and so do ideas.  * Having a plan matters. When we get the vision right it down.  * The opportunity of a lifetime lives within the lifespan of an opportunity.  * Reframing "failure". A struggle is a part of the process in progressing.  Scripture says that  “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities" Luke 10:16 (NLT). One day I want you to hear a "well done good and faithful servant" from the Lord, and the people, places he's brought you to serve. That could be a podcast, school, or workplace. Whatever that may be- be encouraged to work hard to do well. not for wealth, or yourself, but because you are branded with the name of Jesus.  How many of us ask for more, when we struggle to do well with what we have already been giving? Today we are reminded that every opportunity, blessing, idea, or relationship that God gives you, comes with a charge to care for that thing. Let our lacks give you a lesson on how to strive to come back.  As we mentioned, Claire is still living life and producing content for the kingdom elsewhere. Am I Walking in my Purpose? (Part 2)

Welcome back to the last part of a two-part conversation on purpose.  They're many things that we can do in our pursuit of purpose, but are they God's purposes or yours? How can we align those things...?  In today's episode, Claire, Theo and Samantha share their personal reflection answering the question: How do I know if I'm walking in my purpose? Can we really be sure? One thing we can be sure of is that it's a daily pursuit, and we start with our heart posture here: Mathew 6:33  But [https://biblehub.com/greek/1161.htm] seek [https://biblehub.com/greek/2212.htm] first [https://biblehub.com/greek/4412.htm] the [https://biblehub.com/greek/3588.htm] kingdom [https://biblehub.com/greek/932.htm] of [https://biblehub.com/greek/3588.htm] God [https://biblehub.com/greek/2316.htm] and [https://biblehub.com/greek/2532.htm] His [https://biblehub.com/greek/846.htm] righteousness, [https://biblehub.com/greek/1343.htm] and [https://biblehub.com/greek/2532.htm] all [https://biblehub.com/greek/3956.htm] these things [https://biblehub.com/greek/3778.htm] will be added [https://biblehub.com/greek/4369.htm] unto you [https://biblehub.com/greek/4771.htm].  May your faith be strengthened as you take the step, risk, or unexpected path that God has for you ❤️ Join the conversation and let us know what you think by following us on @thecampusconversations [https://www.instagram.com/thecampusconversation/]

2021 Rest: Are Resolutions Still Relevant?

To end 2020 strong we have a BONUS Episode.  The year wouldn't be complete if we didn't talk about the ever so common January agenda, that are New Year resolutions.  2020 has been a year we will all remember. It was filled with hardship, change, loss, and one too many zoom chats.... but in many ways, it was a year of reset.  For some that meant reconnecting with family, for all of it meant reestablishing new rhythms, or refining old ones.  Today, Claire, Theo and Samantha take us through what it looks like to refresh ourselves before overhauling our habits for the new year.  Is that "new year new me"  a mindset that your walking into next year with?  Are new years resolution helpful, harmful, or all hype? What principles from Scripture can help guide us through filtering through the noise of the new year to pursuing the purposes of the Lord.  Things referred to in this episode:  * The Chosen Christmas Special  [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIdCB4JTr88&ab_channel=TheChosen] * SMART Goals  [https://positivepsychology.com/goal-setting-psychology/]
