During the Y98 halftime show, Jen Siess visited with Brad Davis, St. Louis native, three-time Hall of Famer, and former MLS pro and US Men’s National Team player. Brad talked about his experience playing in the 2014 World Cup for the USMNT, representing his country on such a grand scale after 4 years building towards the planet’s largest sporting event. He also talked about the promise of the USMNT under the leadership of Head Coach, Mauricio Pochettino, who says “why not us?” and the massive impact that The Beautiful Game can have on hosting cities and countries.

During the Y98 pregame show, Jen Siess shared thoughts from CITY Backup Goalkeeper, Ben Lundt, ahead of the team’s home match against Austin FC before the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup break. Big Ben talked the special night for him and the team with their recent Open Cup win over Houston at home to put them into the semifinals in September and the challenge for him given he hasn’t played in a game for over a year and had to come in cold for an injured Roman Burki. Finally, Lundt expressed how special the team is with its competitive chemistry and belief in each other and the system of play.

During the Y98 pregame show, Jen caught up with CITY Head Coach, Yoann Damet, ahead of the team’s home match against Austin FC before the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup break. Coach Damet talked about the team building on the momentum from the recent Open Cup win over Houston at home to put them into the semifinals in September. He expressed his belief that the team coming up big in key moments is a result of their growing belief in the system of play and each other. And though fatigued from a compressed schedule, Damet talked the team's ability to finish strong in front of CITY fans against an opponent who recently parted ways with their Sporting Director and Head Coach.

5/19/26 CITY Open Cup Home Game vs Houston Dynamo: Soccer in Society with Sam Fink, former USL player for Saint Louis FC

During the Y98 halftime show, Dale Schilly visited in-booth with Sam Fink, his former player back in the Saint Louis FC days with USL play in front of STL fans at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, MO. Dale and Sam also reminisced about STLFC’s historic 2019 Open Cup run up to the Quarterfinals at Sporting KC with epic support from STL fans who out-cheered The Cauldron. Finally, Sam expressed his gratitude for The Beautiful Game as a player and, now, as a fan and soccer dad as he is forever etched in the history of the nation’s soccer capital, St. Louis.

5/16/26 CITY Away Game vs DC United: Soccer in Society with Emir Nalic, Owner of Balkan Treat Box and Telva at The Ridge

During the Y98 halftime show, Jen Siess visited with Emir Nalic, owner of Balkan Treat Box and Telva at the Ridge. Emir talked about his experience as a Bosnian immigrant living in St. Louis and building his successful restaurant business enjoyed around town and in Energizer Park. He shared his pride in sister-in-law, Loryn, who is a finalist for the "James Beard: Best Chef Midwest" again this year. Finally, Emir gave some insight on the excitement of the STL Bosnian community for CITY's “Summer of Soccer Presented by Purina” which will welcome Bosnia and Herzegovina’s National Team for training with an international friendly against World Cup-qualified Panama on Saturday, June 6th.
