A 2013 graduate of South Albany herself, Wehrman returned to her alma mater as an English and AVID teacher. She also earned a degree in Secondary Education Language Arts from Western Oregon University. Under her leadership, South Albany volleyball achieved historic milestones: the program's first-ever state championship in 2024 (going undefeated in Class 5A) followed by a successful repeat title in 2025. She has been named the Oregon 5A Volleyball Coach of the Year twice. Coach Wehrman is deeply rooted in the South Albany community. She is married to Josh Wehrman (also a South Albany alum / current counselor and coach), and they are raising a family together.
