It’s Endometriosis Awareness Month fellow Marauders! An estimated 1 in 10 women in the United States have Endometriosis which is a disorder when the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterus causing pelvic pain and irregular menstrual cycles. Our guest is Dr. Gem Ashby, board certified OBGYN, Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and the Founder/Owner of Gentle Hands OBGYN where she provides routine and problem gynecological (GYN) care to women in the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel area.  In this episode, Dr. Ashby enlightens us on what endometriosis is, signs and symptoms to be aware of, available treatment, and the importance of being an advocate for your health and finding the right support to meet your needs.

Skew It On The Bar-B

Happy Black History Month Fellow Marauders!  In this episode "Skew It On The Bar-B", Kellz welcomes food writer, James Beard Book Award Winner, attorney, and certified barbecue judge Adrian Miller to the show to talk all things BBQ!  Adrian is the author of the outstanding book "Black Smoke: African Americans and the United States of Barbecue" that I personally enjoyed as a history buff and dedicated "'cue head" and is known as the "Soul Food Scholar". Throughout their conversation, Adrian drops plenty of knowledge like "hot biscuits" regarding the history of BBQ dating back to Native American influences and practices and recipes originated by slaves all the way through current day African American barbecue enthusiast, pit masters, and restaurant owners across the country.   For a great read and outstanding BBQ recipes and recommendations pick up a copy of "Black Smoke: African Americans and the United States of Barbecue" For more about Adrian Miller: https://adrianemiller.com/ IG: @soulfoodscholar LinkedIn:  linkedin.com/in/adrian-miller-792b885 [https://www.linkedin.com/in/adrian-miller-792b885?lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_profile_view_base_contact_details%3B6pIEvDLUQuCq8H9irBKeyQ%3D%3D]
