It’s TIME TO RISE as a Double Duty Agent

If you feel like you are doing all the things in real estate but still not gaining traction, this episode will help you see the real gap. It may not be your effort. It may be that your effort is not connected to a clear formula yet. This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you're working another job, raising a family, or building it all at once. In this episode of the Double Duty Agent Podcast, Carla speaks directly to the agent who is showing up, taking trainings, saving ideas, thinking about lead generation, and still wondering why nothing seems to be turning into momentum. If you have ever thought, “I feel like I’m working hard in real estate, but I’m still not getting anywhere,” this episode is for you. Carla breaks down the real reason many agents feel stuck, especially Double Duty Agents who are building their business around another career, family responsibilities, caregiving, bills, appointments, and real life. The core message is simple: You cannot build momentum from confusion. You can build momentum from clarity, consistency, a simple system, and the right actions repeated over time. But hard work alone is not enough if it is not connected to a clear success formula.  In this episode, you’ll learn:     Why collecting more information may be keeping you stuck instead of helping you move forward.     How to tell the difference between being busy and actually building your business.     Why you need a repeatable system that fits your actual life, not someone else’s schedule.     Why measuring only closings can make you miss the momentum you are already creating.     How support can help you identify the real gap in your business so you can stop spinning and start building. This episode also leads into RISE of the Double Duty Agent, a free Zoom training happening July 2 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM Eastern. RISE is designed to help agents step back, identify what is actually happening in their business, and walk away with a simple formula they can begin using right away. This isn’t just content. This is coaching. Let’s go. “You cannot build momentum from confusion.” Look at your real estate activity from the last seven days. Which actions created conversations? Which actions deepened relationships? Which actions moved someone toward an appointment? Which actions created a follow-up opportunity? Which actions created future pipeline movement? And which actions made you feel busy, but did not actually build your business? Season 3. Episode 9: You’re Right. It Might Be a Ghosting Problem: The Real Reason Your Leads Go Quiet

If your leads keep going quiet, this episode will help you figure out whether they are really ghosting you, not ready yet, or waiting for better follow-up. In this episode of The Double Duty Agent® Podcast, Carla talks about one of the most frustrating parts of real estate: leads who seem interested and then disappear. Whether the lead came from your database, an open house, online lead source, or social media, silence does not always mean the lead is dead. Sometimes it means they are not ready yet. Sometimes it means they are confused, overwhelmed, or unsure of the next step. And sometimes, if we are honest, the follow-up stopped before the relationship had enough time to grow. This episode will help you reconnect to the Season 3 formula: conversations create appointments, appointments create clients, clients create closings, and closings create income. When follow-up stops, the formula stops. So let’s talk about how to get it moving again. In this episode, you’ll learn: * Why a quiet lead is not always a dead lead * How the “silent story” convinces agents to stop following up too soon * Why your lead generation pillar may not be broken, but your follow-up system may be missing * How silence shows up differently in your database, open houses, online leads, and social media * Why “not ready yet” is a nurture category, not a reason to disappear * How to use the Ghosting Audit and Quiet Lead Reset to reopen conversations with care and clarity  Before you decide a lead ghosted you, ask yourself: 1. How many times did I actually follow up?  Not how many times you thought about it. Not how many times you meant to. How many times did you actually reach out? 2. Was my outreach a real conversation opener?  Did you say something specific, connect it to something they cared about, and ask a clear question? 3. Did I offer a clear next step?  Not “let me know if you need anything.” A real next step, like scheduling 15 minutes, sending a few options, or checking back at a specific time. Use this three-step reset to reopen the conversation: 1. Reconnect  Open with warmth and no shame. 2. Re-clarify  Find out where they are right now. 3. Re-offer  Make the next step simple and easy to say yes to. “When follow-up stops, the formula stops.” Ask yourself: Who have I labeled as a ghost who may actually need a better follow-up conversation? Then take one small step: Choose one lead generation pillar this week: * Database * Open houses * Online leads * Social media  Then choose five quiet leads from that pillar and complete the Ghosting Audit. Pick one person and use the Quiet Lead Reset to reopen the conversation with service, clarity, and consistency. Ready for more support as you build real estate alongside a full life? If Your Year Isn’t Going as Planned, Listen to This

If the year does not look the way you thought it would by now, this episode will help you reset without shame, adjust with honesty, and choose the next aligned action that gets you moving again. Episode Overview This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you're working another job, raising a family, or building it all at once. In this episode of the Double Duty Agent Podcast, we are stepping into a mid-year goal reset. As we approach the midway point of the year, many agents start quietly checking out from the goals they set in January. Maybe life happened. Maybe your schedule changed. Maybe you did some of the things, but not as consistently as you hoped. Maybe you have avoided looking at your goals because you do not want to feel behind.  This episode is not about shame. It is not about pressure. It is about clarity. Coach Carla walks you through how to look at your goals honestly, decide what needs to be adjusted, and reconnect your goals to action that feels aligned, sustainable, and doable in the season you are actually in.  You’ll learn:  * Why adjusting a goal is not the same as abandoning it * How to tell whether you are adjusting from wisdom or avoiding from fear * The difference between outcome goals, activity goals, and identity goals * Why some goals inspire action while others create pressure or avoidance * How to reset your goals without losing momentum * Why your next aligned action matters more than creating the “perfect” goal This isn’t just content. This is coaching. Let’s go. “A goal is not there to shame you. A goal is simply there to guide you. And if your goal is no longer guiding you, it may be time to adjust it.” Coaching Reflection Question What goal did you set at the beginning of the year, and is that goal still aligned with the season you are actually in? Are you adjusting it from wisdom, or are you avoiding it from fear? Key Takeaways 1. Adjusting a goal is not giving up Sometimes adjustment is wisdom. Sometimes adjustment is alignment. Sometimes adjusting your goal is what allows you to keep going instead of giving up completely. The key is honesty. Are you adjusting because your life, capacity, schedule, priorities, or information has changed? Or are you adjusting because the goal got uncomfortable? 2. Outcome goals give direction Outcome goals are the results you want, such as closings, income, listings, buyers, referrals, or transitioning from dual-career to full-time real estate. They matter because they give you a destination. But they do not always tell you what to do today. Ask yourself:  Does this goal inspire me, or does it make me want to avoid my business? 3. Activity goals create movement Activity goals are the actions you control, such as conversations, follow-up, open houses, database touches, notes, appointments, and skill practice. This is where momentum gets built because activity goals bring the business back into your control. Conversations create appointments.  Appointments create clients.  Clients create closings.  Closings create income.  If you want a different result, trace it back to the activity that creates it. 4. Identity goals help you become the person who follows through Identity goals are about who you are becoming. Examples: * I am becoming someone who follows through. * I am becoming an agent who has conversations consistently. * I am becoming a business owner who honors my schedule. * I am becoming someone who can be trusted with my own dreams. The result may take time, but the identity can begin today. Ask yourself:  Who do I need to become to create the business I say I want? 5. Do not leave your reset without a next action A reset feels good for a day, but nothing changes unless you choose the next aligned action. Before you move on, decide: * Who will I call? * Who will I follow up with? * What time block will I protect? * What conversation will I practice? * What appointment will I ask for? * What support will I request? Momentum returns when reflection turns into action. This Week’s Coaching Moment  Take 15 minutes and ask yourself:  * What goal did I set at the beginning of the year? * Is that goal still aligned? * Am I adjusting it from wisdom or avoiding it from fear? * What type of goal moves me into action? * Do I need an outcome goal, an activity goal, an identity goal, or all three? * What is one action I can take this week to rebuild momentum?  You are allowed to adjust. You are allowed to tell the truth. You are allowed to change the timeline. You are allowed to choose a goal that fits the season you are actually in. Just do not use the adjustment as a reason to disappear from your own dream.  Share this episode with one other agent who needs to hear that adjusting a goal is not the same as giving up. Busy But Still Not Getting Clients? 5 Signs You’re Spinning Instead of Building

You can be busy, tired, and doing “all the things” in real estate and still not be building momentum. In this episode, Carla walks you through 5 signs you may be spinning instead of building, and how to shift back into simple, aligned action that moves your business forward. This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you're working another job, raising a family, or building it all at once. In this episode of the Double Duty Agent Podcast, we are talking about the difference between spinning and building.  Spinning can feel productive. It can look like planning, learning, organizing, researching, updating your database, working on your brand, or trying to get everything ready. But if your pipeline still feels quiet, your confidence still feels shaky, and you cannot point to what actually moved your business forward, it may be time to pause and check in. This episode is not about shame. It is about clarity. Coach Carla breaks down 5 signs you may be spinning instead of building, including constantly changing your plan, hiding behind preparation, staying busy without income-producing actions, consuming more training than you implement, and waiting to know everything before you start having conversations.  You’ll also learn the antidote for each pattern so you can stop starting over and begin creating real momentum. You’ll learn:  1. Why spinning can feel responsible, productive, and professional, even when it is keeping you stuck. 2. How to tell the difference between real estate busywork and business-building action. 3. Why conversations are still the starting point for appointments, clients, closings, and income. 4. How to create a simple weekly evidence list so you can see what is actually moving. 5. What to say when someone asks you a question and you do not know the answer yet.  “Spinning creates motion. Building creates momentum.” COACHING REFLECTION QUESTION At the end of this week, ask yourself: Did I create evidence that my business is being built? Did I create conversations? Did I follow up? Did I invite anyone to an appointment? Did I move any relationship forward? Did I add anyone to my database? Did I ask for business or referrals? And if the answer is no, do not beat yourself up. Coach’s Corner: Stuck in Preparation Mode? Here’s How to Get Moving

If you keep learning, watching, and taking classes but still feel stuck when it comes to taking action, this episode will help you find your next focused step. This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you're working another job, raising a family, or building it all at once. In this Coach’s Corner episode of the Double Duty Agent Podcast, Coach Carla responds to a powerful website submission from Gloria, who shared that she feels like she is experiencing “failure to launch.” She keeps taking classes, wishes she could shadow someone through every type of transaction, feels embarrassed when people ask what she is doing with real estate, and wonders if she can really do this because she does not see herself as a salesperson. This episode is a grounded coaching conversation for any agent who feels frozen, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. Carla walks through the difference between preparation and protection, how fear can disguise itself as “I just need one more class,” and why the next right step may be much simpler than learning every possible transaction scenario.  You’ll learn:  * How to recognize when preparation has become protection. * Why your “protector part” may be trying to keep you safe, but also keeping you stuck. * How to come back to the real estate formula: conversations lead to appointments, appointments lead to clients, clients lead to closings, and closings lead to income. * Why being a consultant does not mean being passive. * How to identify where you are in the formula and choose your next focused step. * What to do before taking another class, watching another replay, or waiting to feel ready.  This isn’t just content. This is coaching. Let’s go. “Sometimes preparation is wisdom. And sometimes preparation is protection.” Your Coach’s Corner Coaching Reflection Questions: Where are you in the formula right now?  Are you focused on conversations, appointments, clients, closings, or income?  And what is one focused action you can take in the next 24 hours? This Week’s Focused for More Challenge  Before you take another class, register for another training, or watch another replay, take one real-world action that moves you forward in the formula. Start by writing this sentence: The action I’m avoiding is ______ because I’m afraid ______. Then identify your next focused step: * If you need conversations, have five. * If you need appointments, practice asking for the next step. * If you need client confidence, ask a mentor to walk you through a consultation. * If you need transaction confidence, ask to shadow one specific part of the process. Not everything. Just one thing.  One focused step. Submit your question for a future Coach’s Corner episode:  https://DoubleDutyPodcast.com [https://doubledutypodcast.com/] And while you there, sign up for the weekly newsletter If this episode helped you see your next step more clearly, share it with one other agent who may be stuck in preparation mode too.
