🚨 The Emergency Room: Community within Design 🎙️ Hosted by Yusuf Uddin & Louis Shepley Join us for a conversation with Kevin Green & Taiye Ige from STORE STORE, a shop and educational space that hosts a weekly After School Club for young people. Participants learn with practicing artists and designers to develop their own products, learn practical skills and build portfolios in art, design and architecture.  Kevin and Taiye shared the story behind STORE STORE, explaining how they turned a retail space into a hub for community-led design. They also reflected on the lessons learned from running their After School Clubs and offered invaluable advice for the next generation of makers. Kevin and Taiye talked about how STORE STORE started, why it's necessary to have programmes like this to equal the playing field and share advice for young creatives.

We’re joined by: ✨Georgia Davies -  Bassist from The Last Dinner Party, a 5-piece Baroque pop, rock band from London. Formed in 2021, The Last Dinner Party have two studio albums, their debut Prelude to Ecstacy (2024) reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, they are BRIT award recipients and have toured across the world. The band has established a reputation for using their platform for social and political activism, particularly surrounding Palestinian rights, political censorship in the music industry, and supporting grassroots venues.
