Acerca de The Family Scapegoat Chronicles l True Stories of Healing and Freedom From Family Scapegoating and Narcissistic Abuse

Created and hosted by Elle Boone; voice actor, storyteller, songstress, creative writer, certified health coach, trauma-informed life coach, and seasoned Escapegoat Artist — The Family Scapegoat Chronicles is a first-of-its-kind audio experience that turns private pain into public medicine through the power of shared stories. The show was made for those who have lived as the family scapegoat and are ready to face the patterns, the residue, and the reckoning that follow while healing their way toward freedom in their own reflection. Through guided exposure (a form of somatic regulation) rooted in story, music, and parody, Elle leads listeners through what trauma therapy calls pendulation — the body’s natural movement between activation and calm that helps rewire the nervous system, allowing them to witness trauma patterns without reliving them and find emotional release along the way. It’s not just storytelling; it’s an immersive, audio-based co-regulation experience crafted to help the body remember what calm and safety feel like. Elle’s deliberate emotional architecture with recurring musical motifs, humor breaks, and grounding interludes in disguise, creates emotional safety through containment. Her creative writing and wit bring depth and digestibility to heavy subject matter, turning complex psychology into vivid storytelling. She’s not narrating trauma; she’s guiding healing instead of triggering it, helping listeners define themselves rather than their wounds and teaching agency over pathology. With this work, Elle has created the blueprint of an entirely new form of healing media — a purpose-driven fusion of psychology, performance, creative writing, and sonic art that functions as emotional regulation disguised as entertainment. Listeners walk away feeling grounded, seen, and soothed — reminded that healing doesn’t have to hurt to work. This is what healing sounds like. We are looking for listeners and experts to come on the show to share their stories and expertise. Come help us spread awareness about family scapegoating to help more who have been traumatized by this have access to more resources for healing. episode 6 I The Squirrel and the Scapegoat - A Winter Fable artwork

6 I The Squirrel and the Scapegoat - A Winter Fable

In this episode, Elle shares an original winter fable, The Squirrel and the Scapegoat — a quiet story about resilience after exclusion. Through the journey of a solitary squirrel forced to survive outside the nest, this episode explores self-trust, identity repair, and what it means to become your own shelter when belonging is no longer offered. This is not a story about “bouncing back,” but about the kind of resilience built slowly, alone, and on your own terms. __________________________________________________________________________ If this episode landed for you, please take a moment to rate and review the show — it helps other survivors find a safe, grounding space for their healing. episode 5 I Top 10 Scapegoat Superpowers artwork

5 I Top 10 Scapegoat Superpowers

What if your role as the family scapegoat didn’t just leave scars… but also forged superpowers? In this episode, we take a compassionate (and surprisingly empowering) look at the very real strengths that emerge from surviving dysfunction. From hyper-intuition to resilience, emotional fluency to boundary-setting, we explore the traits scapegoats often develop out of necessity,  and how those same traits can become tools for healing, confidence, and clarity as you move into a new year. This isn’t about romanticizing trauma or finding a “bright side.” It’s about recognizing the skills you built in the fire… and reclaiming them as your own. If the holidays stirred up old wounds, this episode will help you remember your power, your insight, and the parts of you that grew stronger in spite of it all. __________________________________________________________________________ If this episode landed for you, please take a moment to rate and review the show — it helps other survivors find a safe, grounding space for their healing. 3 I The Sacred Scapegoat Nervous System: The Sacred Scapegoat Nervous System: How Pacing & Emotional Architecture Can Change the Way We Heal

This episode introduces the idea of the “Sacred Scapegoat Nervous System" — the unique survival wiring created in families where one child becomes the emotional target. I walk you through the pacing, tone, and emotional architecture behind Episodes 1 and 2, and explain how intentional regulation supports your body while you’re listening. You’ll learn why most trauma content overwhelms the scapegoated nervous system, how careful sequencing prevents emotional flooding, and why healing requires safety, rhythm, and coherence, not shock value or intensity.  You’ll learn how your nervous system responds to the way stories are told, why scapegoats need regulated pacing to stay grounded, and how this structure helps you heal without emotional whiplash. We talk about what happens inside the body when the vagus nerve activates, why humor can be regulating, how emotional arcs work in well-done films, and why patterns — not people — are the real villains we’re learning to rewrite. Topics Covered: • What makes the scapegoat nervous system unique • Why pacing affects your ability to learn • Emotional architecture vs. emotional overwhelm • How humor activates the vagus nerve • Why well-made films regulate you better than most trauma content • Why THE PATTERN is the villain — and how YOU become the hero • How this framework prepares you for future episodes and for coaching work ___________________________________________________________________ If this episode landed for you, please take a moment to rate and review the show — it helps other survivors find a safe, grounding space for their healing. episode 2 l What Is Family Scapegoating? artwork

2 l What Is Family Scapegoating?

In this episode of The Family Scapegoat Chronicles, Elle Boone breaks down what family scapegoating really is, not just the buzzword, but the hidden family system behind it. She explains how one person becomes the “identified patient,” why families assign blame to a single member, and how that dynamic keeps deeper issues safely buried. This conversation brings language, insight, and validation to the experience of being unfairly cast as “the problem.” Whether you’ve lived this dynamic or are trying to understand it for the first time, this episode gives you clarity and compassion in equal measure. 💬 What You’ll Hear * A clear definition of family scapegoating * The meaning of the “identified patient” in family systems therapy * Common ways scapegoating shows up in daily life * Why this pattern isn’t about you — it’s about avoidance and projection * How naming it is the first step toward stepping out of it 💡 Quote “Every family tells a story — but you don’t have to keep playing the role they wrote for you.” 🤝 Perfect For Anyone who suspects they’ve been scapegoated by their family, or who wants to understand the hidden rules that kept them stuck in a role that was never theirs. 🔗 Connect 🌐 thefamilyscapegoatchronicles.com [https://thefamilyscapegoatchronicles.com]📩 familyscapegoating@gmail.com ☕ Support the show [https://coff.ee/elleboone] ⚠️ Content Notice Discussions include abuse and trauma.  If anything you hear feels activating, please reach out to a qualified mental-health professional.
