Breaking the Habit

Some of the best debates and discussions take place over topics that don't always have the most obvious answer. Take the chicken first or egg first example, we could potential fight over it for hours without an outcome. But that is (thankfully) not what we spoke about on the podcast this episode rather, the topic of conversation was far more interesting and relevant, and revolved around whether it was possible for women and men to be paid equally in football and if yes, what would it take?  Tune in for our first debate on the Football Overtime Podcast as Vishnu, Varun and Aanya (finally) come together for the first time in season 3 as the two sides battle it out for their view on the topic till the very end. Living up to a Lost Legacy

After a crazy season filled with different emotions, four of Aanya’s friends from The Valley School come together to review their favorite clubs campaign.  We talk about the lack of a holding midfielder, consistent management and Ronaldo’s impact on Manchester United’s tactical play. In contrast to the disappointment, we chat about Real Madrid's standout performance this season, along with Benzema’s heroics. Lastly, Bayern’s 10th consecutive Bundesliga win was inevitable, although Lewandowski leaving can turn the tables. The Trophy Count Continues

“Once is starts, it doesn’t stop” It took 16 years, a retirement, a loss in the World Cup final and three runner-up medals in Copa America for the little magician, Leo Messi, to end his trophy drought with the national team. And he managed to do it by pulling Argentina through to lift the Copa America last year. Since then the winning streak runs on and Messi’s trophy cabinet continues to fill. Last night Argentina deservedly won the Finalissima against a battered looking Italy who almost seemed to be justifying why they hadn’t been able to book their spot for Qatar. And what better for Argentina than having an ecstatic Messi spearhead your attack against them. The stars are looking good for Messi but we only wonder what they have lined up for Argentina and him at his last world cup later this year. Enjoyed the podcast? The REAL Way

Hello again! A long time it has been but we are back! And this is the first preseason episode of an exciting new season 3!  As of just over a week ago Liverpool could boast of the possibility of a quadruple and etch their name into the history books as one of the best teams ever.  However things didn’t really go their way and now they have the successes at Wembley to look back on. This meant that Real Madrid won a record-extending 14th UCL title and Manchester City lifted their 4th PL title in 5 years to Vishnu’s great excitement. Enjoyed the podcast?
