My next guest is an unstoppable force of Nature. She has made it her life’s mission to improve healthcare in one of the most deprived regions in the world. Enter Devi Patel, who co-founded and has been running the Better Lives Foundation, with her husband Raj, for the last 16 years. This incredible organisation has been providing free medical treatment for the people of Yonibana, Sierra Leone, with a unique approach of empowering the local population to become self-sufficient. THE GREATEST TRANSFORMATION IN HUMAN HISTORY | Dr Sailesh Rao - The Glass Walls Podcast Episode 4

Imagine being one of the founding engineers of the internet, and then leaving all that success and prestige behind, to dedicate the rest of your life to saving the world. Let me introduce to you, Dr Sailesh Rao. Currently, one of the most influential environmental activists in our world today, Sailesh started off transforming the internet from its early analog form to the digital superhighway accessible to over 7 billion people, and boosting its speed to the one we are so used to today, despite being told that it was impossible. However, after discovering how dire the climate crisis was, in 2006, Sailesh sold his company and committed the rest of his life to solving the environmental crises affecting all life on Earth. Dr. Rao is the author of four life-changing books, including Carbon Dharma, and Carbon Yoga, and is the Executive Producer of several documentaries that you may have already seen on streaming platforms like Netflix. Cowspiracy, What The Health, They are Trying to Kill Us, The End of Medicine (2022), The Land of Ahimsa (2022), and Milked (2022). His work is also featured in the award winning film, Countdown to Year Zero.   Sailesh was designated a Climate Hero by The Guardian Newspaper in 2023, which recognised him as “a foremost voice on green transition and on the true scale of societal change required to save the planet.” You will be blown away by his journey and his metamorphosis, as we deep dive into his life, his mind, his insights and most importantly the realistic solutions he is proposing to healing our dying planet. episode MARKETING DRIVEN BY ETHICS | Glass Walls Podcast - Episode 3 artwork

MARKETING DRIVEN BY ETHICS | Glass Walls Podcast - Episode 3

In case you haven't come across a company by the name of Mad Ideas by now, you must have come across their work. They're the ones who've created some of the most impactful websites in the world today, championing the works of incredible activists like Dr. Gemma Newman and groundbreaking organizations like Plant Based Health Professionals UK. Now while they offer a brilliant marketing and design service for clients from all backgrounds, there is something that they do differently. They make a conscious effort to only take on projects where they believe will make a positive difference. Now, could this be a model for other businesses to follow in order to operate more ethically? What I want to know is who or what inspired them? What encourages and motivates them to keep working with this kind of unique ethos? And what gives them the courage to keep making challenging decisions in order to raise standards and make a difference in everything that they do? Moreover, how are they giving back to the community and to the planet? Unsurprisingly, their work and business ethic has been recognized by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign. And in my opinion, they lay down a blueprint defining what it means to run a company as ethically as possible. Let's find out more about their incredible journey on this episode of the Glass Walls Podcast. This is one not to miss - Carmen and Carol break down the ethos behind their marketing, advertising and web design company, as a reflection of their life-goal of healing our world.  Check out their brilliant website - https://madideas.com/

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO PROTECT LIFE ON EARTH | Robert (Norb) Gordon - EPISODE 2

What would make a 23 year old quit his master's degree in environmental sciences and embark on a completely different mission in life? A mission to stand up for those who are routinely oppressed and brutally murdered, by taking nonviolent direct action, following in the footsteps of revolutionaries like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Enter Robert Gordon, a private school graduate who has everything going for him and the prospect of the most comfortable life a person could ask for. But instead, he joined the most important social justice movement of our time with the mission of protecting all life on earth - the organisation powerfully known as Animal Rising. In this episode, we track Robert's journey of awakening to what is going on in our world. What made him change his outlook and purpose, and how his actions are driven by justice and anchored in universal compassion, and what he hopes to achieve with his selfless mission to save lives.
