Acerca de The Great Controversy Between God and Satan

This page is dedicated to the whole world that all may know the origin and ending of the great controversy between God and Satan, the originator of sin. From the author's pen:"To unfold the scenes of the great controversy between truth and error; to reveal the wiles of Satan, and the means by which he may be successfully resisted; to present a satisfactory solution of the great problem of evil, shedding such a light upon the origin and the final disposition of sin as to fully make manifest the justice and benevolence of God in all his dealings with his creatures; and to show the holy, unchanging nature of his law, is the object of this book. That through its influence souls may be delivered from the power of darkness, and become "partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light," to the praise of Him who loved us, and gave himself for us, is the earnest prayer of the writer. The Word Was Raised Again - GC Chapter 9 The Swiss Reformer

THE WORD WAS RAISED AGAIN (The Great Controversy Chapter 9 – The Swiss Reformer) By Zeres Vitto VERSE 1 — Light in the Alps In Alpine lands where shadows lay, A faithful voice broke through the gray; No power of men nor ancient claim Could bind the truth in Jesus’ name. He searched the Word in ancient tongue, Where living streams of truth are sung; No priestly claim above the Word— But Christ revealed through Scripture heard. REFRAIN The Word was raised, was raised again— Its light now shines among all men. No earthly power, no sword of might Can stand against advancing light. From Zurich’s streets the call was heard: “Return, O souls, unto the Word!” VERSE 2 — The Witness Restored Long had the sacred pages lain, Obscured by fear and bound by chain; Through darkest years its voice was low, Yet faithful hearts preserved its glow. But now the light broke forth again, And truth was preached to common men; The Scriptures spoke with power restored— Revealing Christ, the living Lord. REFRAIN The Word was raised, was raised again— Its light now shines among all men. No earthly power, no sword of might Can stand against advancing light. From Zurich’s streets the call was heard: “Return, O souls, unto the Word!” VERSE 3 — The Rising Conflict The conflict grew as truth advanced, And many hearts by grace were cleansed; For the apostate church with civil might Made war against unfolding light. Yet truth is not by force sustained, Nor conscience ever rightly chained; For Christ before the judge proclaimed: “My kingdom is not of this world.” VERSE 4 — A Work Unfinished The light increased, yet not complete— More truth remained to be revealed; For human rule still shaped the creed, Where Christ alone the church should lead. The call moves on through time’s long span, Restoring truth by Heaven’s plan; God’s remnant sound the final cry: “Come out, My people—follow God!” BRIDGE — Final Message Now angels fly through heaven’s height, Proclaiming truth with urgent might; To every land and tribe and tongue— The everlasting gospel sung. “Fear God! Give glory—judgment near! Worship the Maker of heaven and earth!” Babylon falls—her systems flee, “Come out, My people—now be free!” REFRAIN — FINAL The Word was raised, still shines today— Its truth no power can take away. Fear God and give Him glory due, Creator holy, just, and true. From every land the cry is heard: “Worship the Lord—obey His Word!” OUTRO From Zwingli’s voice to final cry, God’s truth goes forth—it cannot die.

Here I Stand Before the Thrones - The Great Controversy Chapter 8 - Luther Before the Diet

“Here I Stand Before the Thrones” is a dramatic song inspired by the historic stand of Martin Luther before the imperial court at the Diet of Worms, where he declared that his conscience was bound to the Word of God. Drawing from the prophetic themes of Book of Daniel and Book of Revelation, the song connects the courage of the Reformation with the final test of faith foretold in Scripture. Luther’s stand becomes a symbol of the larger conflict between divine truth and human authority, reminding listeners that the same loyalty to God’s Word will be required of His faithful people in the closing scenes of earth’s history. Moving from the courts of earthly rulers to the throne of heaven, the song calls believers to stand with unwavering conviction, trusting that the truth which sustained Luther will sustain God’s people until Christ returns in glory. #zeresvitto #HereIStandBeforetheThrones #ProtestantReformation #MartinLuther #TheGreatControversy #everyone

Here I Stand in the Firelight - The Great Controversy Chapter 7 - Luther’s Separation from Rome

“Here I Stand in the Firelight” is a prophetic narrative song inspired by Chapter 7 of The Great Controversy, tracing the recurring conflict between divine authority and human power across Scripture and history. Beginning with Elijah’s challenge on Mount Carmel, moving through the worship crisis of Babylon in the days of Daniel, and culminating in Martin Luther’s courageous stand before the imperial assembly at Worms, the song reveals a consistent pattern: God calls His people to remain faithful when conscience is tested by earthly decree. The narrative then reaches forward to the final prophetic crisis described in Revelation, where the same issues of worship, allegiance, and authority reappear on a global scale. Through its imagery of fire, judgment, and steadfast faith, the song affirms that throughout every age the faithful are preserved not by numbers or power, but by their loyalty to the Word of God and the Lamb who ultimately vindicates them.

When the Goose Faced the Flame - The Great Controversy Chapter 6 - Hus and Jerome

"When the Goose Faced the Flame" is an epic, prophetic retelling of Chapter 6 of The Great Controversy (1888), tracing the courage of Jan Hus and Jerome of Prague within the historicist framework of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. Set against the backdrop of the Council of Constance and the medieval union of church and state, the song portrays Hus’ stand for the supremacy of Scripture and liberty of conscience as a fulfillment of the prophecy that the “little horn” would wear out the saints. His martyrdom—symbolized by the goose before the flame—becomes not a defeat but a witness, anticipating both the Reformation that followed and the final remnant who will face a similar test of allegiance at the end of time. The song ultimately lifts the listener’s gaze from earthly judgment to heaven’s court, affirming that though earthly powers condemn, the Lamb reigns, and the kingdom will be given to the saints. #zeresvitto #TheGreatControversy #ProtestantReformation #JanHus #everyone #allfollowers #whenthegoosefacedtheflame When the Goose Faced the Flame (Great Controversy — Chapter 6: Huss & Jerome) By Zeres Vitto Verse 1 In Bethlehem’s humble chapel hall, A preacher rose though Rome stood tall; The Scriptures lifted over throne, Christ crowned as Head — the Church His own. From Wycliffe’s pages light was borne, Through troubled lands by conscience sworn; Though councils spoke with gilded claim, The written Word remained the same. Pre-Chorus As Daniel saw in visions old, A horn that waged its war on saints; Yet heaven’s court with books displayed Records the price the faithful paid. Chorus When the goose faced the flame, And rulers branded faith as blame, The smoke rose high — but higher still The Lamb stood sovereign on the hill. Though thrones decreed and princes swore, The truth outlived the fire once more; For crowns decay and powers dim, But saints receive their realm from Him. Verse 2 They summoned him with pledges sworn, Safe passage sealed — yet trust was torn; Before assembled might he stood, While heaven weighed both word and blood. Pressed to deny what Scripture taught, Urged to exchange conviction bought; Yet conscience bound to sacred page Outshone the threats of council rage. Delivered to the civil hand, Where altar joined the king’s command; Thus war with saints again was named, As Revelation’s warning claimed. Verse 3 Jerome once trembled in the night, Where iron bars concealed the light; Fear bent his voice for fleeting breath, But truth returned to conquer death. Before the court he rose anew, Confessed the faith he once withdrew; No borrowed courage, none compelled — But steadfast trust by grace upheld. And walking where the embers burned, He sealed the witness he had learned. Bridge Through time and times and half a time, The saints were worn by horn and man; For twelve-sixty years the struggle ran, Till dominion slipped from mortal hand. In seventeen ninety-eight decreed, The scepter fell from papal seat; The wound was struck as Daniel said, Yet healing waits as prophets read. The court above had long made known: No throne endures but heaven’s throne. Verse 4 As Huss once stood before decree, So shall a remnant faithful be; Commandments kept though nations rage, The faith of Jesus in final age. When image forms and laws demand, And commerce bows to man’s command; Like goose before imperial flame, They trust the Lamb and bear His name. Final Chorus When conscience stands before the fire, And earth commands what heaven denies, The Ancient sits — the books declare The saints are heirs of answered prayer. Though beast and horn their hour display, The Lamb shall rise in brighter day; For stakes grow cold and empires fall, But Christ shall reign — Lord over all.

episode When the Witness Rose artwork

When the Witness Rose

“When the Witness Rose” By Zeres Vitto Verse 1 — The Morning Star (Wycliffe) In midnight’s reign when truth lay bound, And sacred pages chained to crown, A scholar knelt in Oxford’s light And heard the Word reclaim its right. No throne of man could take its place, No priest could stand in saving grace; “The Lamb alone,” his voice declared, “No mortal hand salvation shares.” Pre-Chorus When power claimed the keys of heaven, And conscience bowed to law misgiven, A whisper rose against the throne: “The Word of God stands firm alone.” Chorus When the witness rose from sackcloth torn, When the sealed Book met the dawn, Heaven’s light broke through the night — Truth would not be gone. Though beasts may roar and crowns may fall, The Lamb still stands above them all; From Wycliffe’s flame to angels’ cry, The harvest draws us nigh. Verse 2 — The Beast and the Image (Revelation 13) A beast arose from storm and sea, Clothed in borrowed majesty; Authority by dragon given, Claiming keys that belong to heaven. Another beast with gentle horn, Yet dragon’s breath at break of morn; It spoke of worship, mark, decree, And bound the will to loyalty. Who holds the soul? Who writes the law? Who shapes the fear that nations saw? The ancient question wakes again — Whose voice commands the heart of men? Pre-Chorus But heaven will not leave the earth To trembling fear and forced rebirth; Three voices sound across the sky — A final gospel cry. Chorus When the witness rose from sackcloth torn, When the sealed Book met the dawn, Heaven’s light broke through the night — Truth would not be gone. Though beasts may roar and crowns may fall, The Lamb still stands above them all; From Wycliffe’s flame to angels’ cry, The harvest draws us nigh. Verse 3 — The Three Angels (Revelation 14) “Fear God alone,” the first voice pleads, “Worship the One who made the seas.” Not throne of clay nor sword of might, But Maker’s law restores what’s right. “Babylon falls,” the second cries, Her towers crack before all eyes; Traditions melt like dust and flame, No crown survives the Lamb’s true name. “If any bow to beastly claim,” The third declares in solemn flame, Choose now the seal, choose now the Name — No soul escapes the final claim. Bridge — The Remnant and the Harvest Here stand they in patient faith, Through threat of loss and shadowed death; Commandments kept, the faith of Christ, Their hope not bought, their souls not priced. The Son of Man with sickle bright Moves across the crimson light; Earth is ripe — the end begun — The fields of time are done. Final Chorus (Expanded) When the witness rose from sackcloth torn, When the sealed Book met the dawn, From Oxford’s halls to Zion’s height, The Lamb has led us on. Beast and image fade away, Babylon cannot delay; The everlasting gospel cries — The harvest fills the skies. And every crown laid at His feet Confirms the Word complete; From Wycliffe’s stand to heaven’s throne, The Kingdom stands alone. #zeresvitto #theGreatControversy #JesusSaves #JohnWycliffe #ProtestantReformation #Bible #SolaScriptura
