episode Garments of Light artwork

Garments of Light

This Podcast, "Garments of Light," explores the deep spiritual and symbolic significance of sacred clothing in ancient temples, scriptures, and temple worship. It begins with Genesis 3:21, proposing that the "coats of skin" given to Adam and Eve were actually "garments of light.” The text traces this theme through biblical priestly garments (Exodus 28, Leviticus), Joseph's sacred coat, and later scriptures, emphasizing their representation of Christ, holiness, royalty, spiritual protection, and sanctification. It connects these ideas to the Armor of God in Ephesians 6, the endowment ("to clothe with power"), initiatory ordinances, and early Christian/Jewish texts like Pistis Sophia, Testament of Levi, and rabbinic sources, which describe garments of light, protective marks (such as gamma patterns), celestial symbolism, and priestly investiture. The episode concludes by linking these ancient traditions to modern temple practices, the seal of Melchizedek, and the ultimate goal of presenting spotless garments before God, as taught in Alma 7:25 and other restoration scriptures.

The Creation and the Cosmos ~ Abraham 3

In this episode, hosted by Anthony Rivera, we explore the profound cosmic and celestial teachings in Abraham Chapter 3, linking them directly to Doctrine and Covenants 88 as the restored key to “thinking celestial”—understanding the light of Christ that governs the sun, moon, stars, and all creation from God’s eternal throne. Through Abraham’s vision via the Urim and Thummim, the Lord reveals Kolob as the great governing star nearest His throne, where one revolution equals a thousand earthly years, teaching relativity of time, perfect cosmic obedience, and the eternal perspective that helps us endure mortality. The discussion culminates in the pre-mortal organization of intelligences, highlighting Abraham and other noble and great ones chosen as rulers before birth, with the Lord commissioning Abraham to teach these temple-related cosmic truths to the Egyptians.

episode Adam and Eve artwork

Adam and Eve

In this episode, Hosted by Anthony Rivera, we explore the two distinct creation narratives in Genesis 1 and 2, highlighting their different focuses: the creation of male and female in God’s image with commands to multiply and fill the earth in chapter 1, versus the intimate formation of Adam from dust and Eve as his vital ezer kenegdo—a teacher and leader built from his side—in chapter 2.  The discussion delves into Eve’s thoughtful decision to partake of the forbidden fruit as an act of fulfilling her divine role, enabling the Fall and the progression of God’s plan, while challenging common mistranslations such as “rib,” “helpmate,” and “rule over you.” Finally, we examine the consequences of the transgression, the naming of Eve as Hawwah (mother of all life), and the symbolic garments of light provided before their expulsion into mortality.
