episode The Chase: Feeding The Ego, Starving The Soul artwork

The Chase: Feeding The Ego, Starving The Soul

A fictional story about a cheetah that fell in love with the pursuit of its prey. A metaphor for how emotionally starved our generation has become as it glorifies temporary highs, quick thrills, and empty pursuits. Told from the POV of the predator. Hey Lover, welcome back 🌹🫶🏽 This episode is a little different. I did a fun cheetah makeup look and was inspired to create a tale about how this character would perceive and engage with love. Especially with a companion it perceives as its prey. Chasing a temporary high, letting it go on for longer than necessary out of enjoyment of the thrill. Devouring the prey would be good for the cheetah, it would nourish its body, and sustain it, similarly in our generation, settling down and loving each other honestly and truthfully would be good for us, but just like the cheetah that only chases is prey for fun (out of the constant need to be reminded of its power, i.e validation, the validation of knowing it can have any target at any time) just so it can have something to chase, toying with its source of nourishment, we toy with one another, playing with the thing that would actually sustain us (true connection, love, monogamy, the opportunity to be fully seen and accepted without overextending ourselves or forcefully expressing our power and identity onto others) out of the thrill of engaging in the game. Now, while human beings and relationships cannot be realistically compared to the hunt between predator and prey, there is a certain parallel that can be drawn between a bored and lonely cheetah who only chases for the thrill, and the state of our generation who mostly engages in situationships out of boredom and not because they’re actually looking to be fulfilled. Ultimately the cheetah is looking for companionship (while still trying to prove “it’s got it like that” but the problem is that it’s looking for it in the wrong places and going about it in the wrong way, it inevitably starves and dies because it cannot bring itself to accept its nature and condition. Similarly, the parts of us (as humanity) that seek true connection die when we engage in “the game” of dating around with no intention and playing one another. We starve ourselves for the sake of playing the game. We starve our true nature, a nature that truly does seek out and thrive in genuine companionship. FROM REFLECTION 2 AUDACITyEE - Appreciating the past while embracing the present

Hey my LoveLee ❤️ I’ve missed you! We’ve got so much to catch up on. I started this year convinced the last one hadn’t given me much, but reflection changed everything. In this episode, I look back at 2025 with honesty, take stock of the chances I took and the lessons I earned, and then ground myself in where I am now. This is about choosing a new energy, one rooted in audacity, self-belief, and openness to what’s next. A gentle but confident nudge to stop doubting your journey and move forward with intention. If you’re ready to stop waiting until you feel ready, and start trusting who you’re becoming, this one’s for you. An invitation to carry your lessons with you, release false humility, and step into new experiences with clarity and confidence. I hope you like it ❤️ Oh and, Happy New Year! 🤗 May this year bring you all your heart’s desires and new opportunities you never even imagined. Love, Lee 🌹 LET’S CONNECT! episode A Conversation With Kujenga artwork

A Conversation With Kujenga

Hey you! Welcome back ❤️  In this truly special episode, I sat down with the incredible Cape Town based jazz and 'Black Improvised Music' band Kujenga. We met up at a cute cafe in the heart of Johannesburg to chat about crowd-favourites such as Abaphantsi, the legacy they’re building, and the importance of authenticity and conscientisation in their music. We also get into the meaning behind their song Remembrance, their capsule collection with Artclub and Friends, and then loosen things up with some spicy ice breakers - an opportunity I used to get to know the musicians on a deeper level. A special thanks goes out to the band for making time to see me on a freezing winter afternoon after a hectic gig night in Jozi🥹 I truly appreciate you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ If you made it to the “Mystery Question” let me know in the comments and we might just be able to convince the band to come back for another chat and mystery question reveal🥹✨ Did somebody say “first ever interview”?🤭 I’m beyooond excited to share this project with you!✨  I know you”ll love this!🌹 Nompumelelo Lee Ndlovu ------------------------------------- LET'S CONNECT! https://www.instagram.com/miss.love.lee?igsh=OWJwaDJxOWJuZGt0&utm_source=qr [https://www.instagram.com/miss.love.lee?igsh=OWJwaDJxOWJuZGt0&utm_source=qr] Kujenga: https://www.instagram.com/miss.love.lee?igsh=OWJwaDJxOWJuZGt0&utm_source=qr [https://www.instagram.com/miss.love.lee?igsh=OWJwaDJxOWJuZGt0&utm_source=qr]

episode Recognising FUTURE YOU|Living with intention artwork

Recognising FUTURE YOU|Living with intention

In this soul-stirring episode, I explore what it really means to become your future self. If you’ve ever felt stuck between who you are and who you’re meant to be, this one’s for you. We all aspire to be the best versions of ourselves but what are we doing in our daily and current lives to prepare for that life we want? I’d like you to remember that a dream life is built from the inside out and never the other way around. Don’t be afraid to slow down on the journey to becoming. Some days will be better than others and our energy levels won’t always remain constant. We won’t always feel like our best selves but if we’re striving to give the best that we can in every moment, we’re doing better than when we weren’t giving anything at all. Even the sun isn’t felt as intensely every single day, sometimes clouds appear, these are like the uncontrollable circumstances we face IRL. However the clouds do not take anything away from the sun. It still lives in its purpose. Learn to take everything with a grain of salt and keep moving. That’s how you step into your future self. Preparing for the life you want means being fully present, you’re going to have to take an honest look at your life. Look away if it hurts you. You should love who you see when you look in the mirror, and if you cannot love this version, stop looking at the things that don’t bring you a sense of peace and purpose, take attention away from those things, switch up your habits and start living with intention. Love and take care of what you have now. Create the version of you that you’re proud of by being that person now. You’re truly only your best self when you’re loving yourself, and this requires for you to know yourself, your habits, beliefs, and capabilities. So what are you going to fill your days with? The idea that time is running out and you’re behind in life or are you gonna fill it with things you love and trust that you’ll be wise enough to do what’s good for you along the journey of self discovery? Just a little food for thought. I truly believe in you, and I love you, always. Your loving host, Nompumelelo “Miss Love” Lee Ndlovu 💋 ———————- LET’S CONNECT! DEAR CREATIVE | Overcoming Overthinking

When self doubt makes you want to disappear - Take this as your sign to create something! Something bigger, and better!  “How many times have we had an open door before us yet stayed behind the bars of our own hesitation? How often do we talk ourselves out of creating our dream lives? “ Hey my LoveLees🌹  This is especially dedicated to someone who may be feeling discouraged today. Maybe you’re doubting whether your voice is worth hearing. Maybe you don’t feel qualified… I’m here to let you know that even though you don’t feel ready, you are worthy!  We are all creatives, every single one of us in our own right, because we create our own destinies. We write our own stories about the path we want to follow. We draw inspiration from the past, one another, and from our current circumstances in order to tell beautiful stories in the future.  I hope you feel inspired to take charge and create the life you want to live, the music you want to hear, and the picture you want to see.  ✨ Confronting self doubt 01:19:10 ✨ When inspiration strikes 04:47:17 ✨ Leave your mark 08:23:18 ✨ Create what you desire to see 09:44:28 All my Love, Miss LoveLee ❤️ LET’S CONNECT!
