In this episode, Land Rover Monthly's Martin Domoney and Steve Miller are on the road again – and this time they're in Oxfordshire to see Eddie Priscott at AllMakes and Terrafirma. He talks about how his obsession with off-road driving first started with Jeeps, and how that affliction still sticks with him today. From his time running an independent off-road preparation specialist, Frogs Island 4x4, to developing off-road parts and testing them in winch challenge events to finally heading up Terrafirma – a brand synonymous with Land Rovers. We take a trip down memory lane to the golden era of off-roading, and Eddie answers a couple of listeners' questions – including why the Range Rover L405 is the latest bargain of the range. He also answers that burning question – just which way around do the washers go on rear shock absorbers? As always we welcome your questions and feedback – drop us a line at editorial@lrm.co.uk [editorial@lrm.co.uk] – and please do leave a rating or review on your preferred streaming platform. In this episode, LRM's Martin Domoney and Steve Miller sit down for an hour of chat with Alistair and Duncan from Richards Chassis. Whilst on a mission to collect the bulkhead for Steve's 1984 Ninety project, the boys grab the opportunity to chat to the minds behind the magic of building brand-new chassis' for Land Rovers, the mainframe – literally and figuratively – of many a Land Rover rebuild or restoration. Richards Chassis' Alistair and Duncan talk through how the business started, where it's heading now and the dos and don'ts of restoring original Series One chassis' rather than replacing them for a new unit – no matter how rotten they are. Steve manages to shoehorn in a bit of old British classic car talk, and the guys discuss how Land Rover restoration has evolved over the years, and how it's looking stronger than ever. Apologies for the audio in this episode – it was recorded in a workshop on a normal working day. In this week's episode, Martin and Steve are lured in by a classified advert for a Vesuvius Orange Range Rover Sport sent in by a listener. They answer a plethora of listener's questions, including how an enthusiast can get his girlfriend on board with Land Rover ownership, and try to find out which tyres get the job done off road without bursting your eardrums on tarmac. Elsewhere, there's a new issue of Land Rover Monthly on sale, and the boys give a preview of what's in store for the new edition of the magazine. Both Martin and Steve have had some bad news with their vehciles' cooling systems this week, but one is likely to be a more expensive fix than the other... As always, your ratings, reviews and feedback are always appreciated. And please send in your questions and comments to editorial@lrm.co.uk [editorial@lrm.co.uk] – enjoy the Podcast.
